Wa-Po journo’s panicky complaint that WHCA dinner was a Covid ‘horror film’ blows up in her face

A Washington Post journalist was so gripped by the fear she apparently still holds on to from Covid that while hob-knobbing with her unmasked peers in a packed crowd she did something about it straight away.

Did she leave the room to get a breath of fresh air?

No, it wasn’t that.

Did she strap on a double mask and hold her breath?

No, not that either.

She very courageously tweeted about it.

“This room is like a horror film,” Jada Yuan tweeted Saturday night during the White House Correspondents Dinner that reportedly had around 2,500 in attendance.

“No exits,” she wrote, as you could almost hear the panic as her thumbs tapped the screen of her phone. “Literally getting trapped between tables. Fear of breathing near people but the people are everywhere.”

But then she really dropped the virtue-signaling bombshell.

“Creeping sense that you’re the only one who know[s] this is insane,” she concluded.

Onlookers were rather incredulous at her tweet that included a photo clearly taken from inside the event.

“Were you being held hostage?” a senior writer with National Review asked.

To which Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ press secretary Christina Pushaw promptly responded, “Doesn’t look like it,” and included a photo of Yuan grinning ear to ear and having a ball in a crowded room at the event.

British writer Ian Haworth suggested a clear alternative to being in the triple jabbed crowd who also had to virtue signal their way in the door with a clean same day Covid test.

Others were concerned with how she got in a room with “no exits” – which the fire marshall would clearly have issues with.

But now that the event is over, others expressed tongue-in-cheek sympathy for her concerns asking, “Were there any survivors?”

And others reassured her that it was okay – per CDC guidance – because everyone was sitting down and “COVID is only transmitted standing up.”

Yuan did take a moment to explain herself to the doubters about why she would put herself through such a horrific and frightening event when she was asked if she was masking and if anyone was around her.

She had to attend the dinner you see.

“Everyone is triple vaccinated and had to take a same day covid test,” she responded. “But no, Some people are. I’m having to do interviews and it’s hard to stop people if they can’t see your face.”
