Billionaire Elon Musk sounded off Thursday via Twitter, commenting on President Joe Biden’s Orwellian “Disinformation Governance Board,” calling it “discomforting” while pointing out that the left has become too radical and the “Democratic Party has been hijacked by extremists.”

Musk voted for former President Barack Obama and identified as a liberal. But as things have progressed here in the United States over the last few years, he has found himself becoming ever more conservative according to a graphic he posted on the internet Thursday.

A user on Twitter named Tim Urban commented on the political diagram, contending that both sides of the political spectrum had become more polarized.

“It’s true that on aggregate, the right has moved more to the extreme than the left in Washington,” Urban argued on Twitter. “But the small group on the far left has become very *culturally* powerful & out of fear, the rest of the left has often allowed them to speak (and make policies) for the whole left.”

“So even though the left hasn’t moved that far left (as is shown by voting results), the left is in a sense being held hostage by their extreme wing, making a lot of people who enthusiastically voted for Obama feel politically homeless today,” Urban asserted.

Shortly after the thread was posted, Musk commented, “I strongly supported Obama for President, but today’s Democratic Party has been hijacked by extremists.”

A self-proclaimed “free speech absolutist,” the Tesla CEO bought Twitter to get rid of censorship on the social media platform. He pointed out that former President Donald Trump’s Truth Social platform would not exist if Twitter hadn’t engaged in censorship.

The SpaceX mogul isn’t just upset about the lack of free speech on Twitter and other social media platforms. Musk is concerned about freedom overall.

He has taken note of Biden’s “Disinformation Governance Board” which was put into play to ostensibly control misinformation being disseminated in minority communities connected to upcoming elections. It coincidentally came to light just days after he made his move on Twitter.

Musk called the development “discomforting” on Twitter in response to a tweet by conservative commentator Steven Crowder who compared it to Nazi Germany.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas let the proverbial cat out of the bag during heated testimony in front of Congress on Wednesday that the board had been recently created.

The South African billionaire was joined by Republicans in his apparent criticism of the move that many referred to as a new “Ministry of Truth.”

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) called the board a “disgrace” and accused the executive director of the newly formed agency, Nina Jankowicz, of being a “leftist radical.”

Ironically, she previously served as a disinformation fellow at the Wilson Center and she was also one of those loud voices who pushed the Russia collusion hoax smearing former President Donald Trump.

Jankowicz has also dismissed out-of-hand the legitimacy of Hunter Biden’s laptop-from-hell, referring to it previously as a “Trump campaign product,” according to Fox News.

“Back on the ‘laptop from hell,’ apparently- Biden notes 50 former natsec officials and 5 former CIA heads that believe the laptop is a Russian influence op,” she tweeted in October of 2020.

“Trump says ‘Russia, Russia, Russia,” she added.

She now claims that the tweet was simply part of her “live-tweeting” a debate between Trump and Biden one month prior to the presidential general election.

Other conservatives sounded off on the disturbing emergence of the board.

“Is there anything more dystopian than a Disinformation Governance Board run by the federal government?” Florida Republican congressional candidate Dr. Willie J. Montague tweeted, later calling the board “Orwellian” and Biden a “tyrant” for creating it.

“They didn’t need a ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ until @elonmusk threatened their control over the narrative,” Texas Republican Congressman Troy Nehls noted.

“The libs spent the last weeks planting the seeds for the back-up plan in case the Twitter deal actually happened,” Republican Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) remarked on Twitter. “Today’s news of a Biden backed ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ is dystopian. They can’t afford to let the truth be anything but what they say.”

“Biden’s ‘Disinformation Governance Board’ is a real-world Ministry of Truth,” Daily Wire reporter Megan Basham declared. “A conservative movement that doesn’t fight this with everything it has isn’t worthy of the name. Or the name American.”
