U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is under fire once again for making explosive comments in an interview with activist Michael Voris of Church Militant on April 21, accusing the Catholic Church’s leaders of being controlled by Satan for reportedly supporting illegal immigration.
Greene did not hold back in the interview and neither did Voris. He asserted that U.S. bishops have “taken enormous sums of money from the federal government, federal taxpayers to assist in illegal immigration, some refugee resettlement” and to “essentially skirt around US immigration laws.”
“I thought we had a separation of church and state,” Greene, who is a devout Christian, said in response to Voris’ accusations.
“What it is, is Satan’s controlling the church,” she charged.
The fact is that Catholic and Baptist organizations have been using millions of dollars in tax money to resettle illegal aliens. You can agree or disagree with the policy, but it's a fact. @RepMTG

“The church is not doing its job, and it’s not adhering to the teachings of Christ, and it’s not adhering to what the word of God says we’re supposed to do and how we’re supposed to live,” Greene remarked.
“We are supposed to love one another, but their definition of what love one another means, means destroying our laws. It means completely perverting what our Constitution says. It means taking unreal advantage of the American taxpayer. And it means pushing a globalist policy on the American people and forcing America to become something that we are not supposed to be,” she continued.
Greene also called for cutting foreign aid to countries that don’t keep migrants from coming to the United States.
“We should hold those countries accountable. ‘Oh, I’m sorry, Guatemala, you’re not getting a check this year because you’ve sent X number of thousands and tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands and millions of people to illegally invade our country as if they’re an army. They may not have guns, but they’re the numbers of a regiment of an army. We won’t be able to send you your foreign aid until you bring your people back,’” Greene said.
“The bishops of Catholic relief charities and services, they should be all in support of that,” she added.
“If the bishops were reading the Bible and truly preaching the word of God to their flock and not covering up child sex abuse and pedophilia, loving one another would have the true meaning and not the perversion and the twisted lie that they’re making it to be,” Greene bluntly noted.
“Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene gave an interview on April 21 to Michael Voris, the head of Church Militant, wherein they discussed the role of Catholic Charities assisting illegal aliens,” Catholic League president Bill Donohue said in a statement sent to Mediaite on Wednesday.
“She had plenty of opportunities to make rational criticisms of the agency, but instead she slandered the entire Catholic Church,” he stated.
“Satan is controlling the Catholic Church? She needs to apologize to Catholics immediately. She is a disgrace,” Donohue angrily proclaimed. “We are contacting House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy about this matter. He’s got a loose cannon on his hands.”
JUST IN: The president of the Catholic League just called out Marjorie Taylor Greene after she said, “The church is not adhering to the teachings of Christ. They’re saying oh, we have to love one another.” — “She needs to apologize to Catholics immediately. She is a disgrace.”

Greene would later demand an apology from Donahue in a lengthy statement posted on Twitter.
“The Catholic League’s Bill Donohue accused me of slandering Catholics and Catholicism in an interview I gave to Michael Voris at Church Militant. Nothing could be further from the truth, and he must apologize promptly and publicly for these words,” she tweeted.
“It’s the church leadership I was referring to when I invoked the devil. The bishops know that but had their loyal lapdog pretend I was being disrespectful about the faith. Just so we’re clear, bishops, when I said ‘controlled by Satan,’ I wasn’t talking about the Catholic Church. I was talking about you,” she added.

“I refuse to use kinder, gentler language as Bill Donohue might prefer when I talk about his disgusting and corrupt friends, who have made him rich with the donations from ordinary churchgoing Catholics,” Greene declared.
“Forgive me if I decline to take lectures from the man bishops send out to do their dirty work when their delicate feelings are hurt,” she commented. “Until the people running the Catholic Church stop abusing children and stop covering up the abuse of children, I will continue to hold them to account.”
“And I’ll keep naming and shaming the craven enablers who write their press releases, too,” Greene vowed. “I know they’ve made you rich, Bill, but before you meet Almighty God, you might want to consider new clients.”
