Shaun King, who many speculated had deleted his Twitter account following the news that Elon Musk had officially purchased the platform, is back and bitter-er than ever.
Wasting no time at all, he called out Jack Posobiec and Donald Trump Jr., both of whom had posted about his account’s sudden and unexplained disappearance from the platform.
**Caution: Graphic Language**

He blamed his absence on nameless, faceless people he claims were associated with the Capitol riot on January 6, and being forced to make his Twitter account “more secure.” And for good measure, he kept throwing around the “white supremacist” insult.
But if there’s anything to know about Shaun King, it’s that he’s not a one-hit-wonder.
He got down to business asking “gotcha” questions to conservatives who, to his likely dismay, did not “STRUGGLE” to answer him honestly and openly.
“Ask ANY conservative this question and watch them STRUGGLE to answer it. Since you say free speech and ALL speech needs to be allowed on Twitter, does that mean you believe that should included targeted hate speech against Jews? Should that be allowed? Be specific and clear,” he tweeted.
Ask ANY conservative this question and watch them STRUGGLE to answer it.
Since you say free speech and ALL speech needs to be allowed on Twitter, does that mean you believe that should included targeted hate speech against Jews?
Should that be allowed?
Be specific and clear.

Since @ElonMusk says ALL legal speech should be allowed on Twitter, is he aware that it’s legal to advocate for underage sex with children?
It’s unethical and gross.
It currently violates Twitter’s terms of service. But it’s legal.
Will that now be allowed?
Be specific.

Apparently, supporting free speech means standing for “advocating for underage sex with children” in King’s book, which is an interesting place for one’s mind to go when they hear they may be threatened with more freedom, instead of less.
However, conservatives who believe in free speech with no exceptions, AKA “free speech absolutists,” were quick to respond to King’s question.
there is a massive difference between censoring legitimate hate speech and allowing one particular political ideology to be the sole gatekeeper on defining what hate speech is. that’s the present reality. straw men arguments get knocked down @shaunking

Yes. Furthermore, there is no such thing as “hate speech.” Someone can say thee most racist things to me on this app (which has already happened before) and it would be perfectly fine, why? Because they have a right to. Stop being so weak.

This isn’t the struggle. The struggle is clear. Who should have the power to decide what speech is going “too far?” Politicians? Government? Media? Influencers? These definitions are ALWAYS defined along party lines. It’s never about right or wrong, just political expediency.

Yes. That doesn’t mean I can’t criticize those who think that though. Let the marketplace of ideas run its course.

So the GREAT thing about this, Shaun is that you can easily just google the first amendment and then you’ll have your answer! It’s really not as hard as you’re trying to make it out to be.
— Oliver Klozoff (@OLIVERWKLOZOFF) April 26, 2022
You be specific and clear. Hate speech that isn’t a call to violence is allowed under free speech. Next?
— heidi (@HeidiBriones) April 26, 2022
Hate speech is a made up term. Hate crimes are thought crimes. Crimes with actual victims and damaged parties are already illegal. In short, just because something hurts your feelings (no matter how deplorable) does not make it a crime. Also, don’t associate with those people.

Since his attempt to showcase the conservative “STRUGGLE” to respond to his question unequivocally failed, he resorted to the age-old trick of calling everyone who did EXACTLY what he said, a racist. While it’s fairly obvious from the question’s framing that this was supposed to be the end result from the beginning, that doesn’t make it any less of a pathetic attempt to score points with other libs who think censorship of crude, rude and downright deplorable ideas is the only way to utopia.
King peddled the following response repeatedly to many conservatives who answered his call:
You want Twitter to change its terms of service under @ElonMusk to now allow hate speech against Jews?
It’s shocking for me to hear that, to be honest. It’s dangerous.
— Shaun King (@shaunking) April 26, 2022
Read this.
This is what they think should be allowed on Twitter. https://t.co/hquil3ZwEE

As you will see from the replies to this tweet, conservatives ARE saying that they now want Twitter to allow hate speech against Jews.
They actually want Twitter to change its terms to allow hate speech against Jews.
Hundreds have replied affirmatively and clearly already. https://t.co/Ti6OaPnzbZ
— Shaun King (@shaunking) April 26, 2022
To summarize, anyone who doesn’t agree with censorship (even selective censorship) hates Jews, black people, and any other minority King can come up with. There is clearly no exception for nuanced thought and debate, even if you don’t hold those views yourself. In order to be a good person, you need to prevent other people from speaking those opinions as well.
Though, the very minorities King is trying to use for his argument may disagree with him on this:
Correct. Free speech must be absolute. I am Jewish. Hate speech is subjective. Free speech cannot be subjective.
