The panel of Fox News’ “The Five” detailed the shocking lack of media coverage and the inexcusable blame-shifting coming from the White House when press secretary Jen Psaki was finally forced to respond to the death of a young National Guardsman who drowned while attempting to rescue two illegal immigrants last Friday.

The body of 22-year-old Army SPC. Bishop E. Evans was recovered Monday morning after an exhaustive, days-long search that was halted at least twice due to raging currents in the Rio Grande River. While most outlets refer to the subjects Evans was attempting to recuse as “migrants,” it has been revealed they were actually drug smugglers who were “involved in illicit transnational narcotics trafficking,” the Texas military department confirmed.

The hosts of Monday’s “The Five” uniformly condemned the Biden regime for the avoidable tragedy in light of its de facto open border policy.

Dana Perino began, “All of this comes as Biden faces bipartisan heat to keep Title 42 in place – some Democrats now claiming the president is out of touch with what is happening.”

She turned to the host of “Jesse Watters Primetime,” imploring him to give the audience his thoughts.

“Biden has blood on his hands,” said Watters. “Remember Brian Terry. He was the border patrol agent that got shot after that botched gun-running operation where they let all these black-market firearms go to the cartels. He [Biden] was the VP and it was his Justice Department that ran that stupid operation. So this is another dead American that the president really needs to acknowledge more than blaming somebody else.”

“Illegal immigration is now rising faster than inflation and that’s a huge problem,” he argued.

“Cartels are making 25 billion dollars in profits. How come we don’t hear anything from Liz Warren or Bernie Sanders about breaking up the big cartels?” he asked.

“If you think things are bad, wait until the end of the month. It is going to be so ugly when you see these visuals,” he predicted. “This country is going to revolt against the administration.”

For her part, co-host Jeanine Pirro set the place ablaze in her scathing rebuke of the Biden regime as well.

“So now we lose someone who was trying to save people coming here illegally so that they can join in the cornucopia of goods whether it’s health care, education, medication, welfare. You name it. They even get lawyers where people who come here illegally have to pay for their own lawyers, and this guy not only is looking to save them, he ends up allegedly saving two people involved in narcotics trafficking,” she railed.

She continued, “And you know what? That we would lose a law enforcement life to someone who is part of a transnational drug cartel that starts in China in an undeclared war against Americans … is the ultimate in the government not protecting us.”

“Why did this man die?” she fumed.

Along with Peter Doocy, Fox News’ Jacqui Heinrich appears to be one of only two reporters in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room who can formulate meaningful inquiries.

“I don’t believe the White House so far has commented on the death of Bishop Evans, the 22-year-old National Guard specialist who drowned trying to save two migrants,” Heinrich reminded Psaki at Monday’s White House briefing.

“Yes, thank you for that Jackie,” Psaki responded, “and the news of the confirmation that his body had been found was confirmed just a couple of hours ago. I would note that, of course, our heart goes out to his family and to his loved ones.”

“To confirm all the specific details,” she added, “he went missing on Friday, following a selfless efforts to rescue two migrants who appeared to be drowning, who are trying to cross a river in Mexico then went to the United States, that went into the U.S. of course, we know that National Guard personnel, including him, risk their lives every day to serve and protect others and again our hearts go out to his family.”

“I don’t have any, in case you may ask, I don’t have any updates at this moment in terms of the president’s outreach but if that is something I can update you on this afternoon I will let you know,” she said.

Heinrich followed up, “Does the White House feel any responsibility for his death given that there’s reporting that he lost his life, allegedly trying to save two migrants who were smuggling drugs, this is a problem that you know, the administration has been facing for some time and has obviously been as we’ve been discussing getting some criticism on.”

“Does the White House feel at all responsible?” Heinrich asked. “And what more can you offer to people who you know are on the border, in border communities who are experiencing loss and trials like this?”

Psaki replied,” Well of, of course, we are mourning the loss of his life and we are grateful for the work of every National Guardsman, I would note that the National Guard work for the states, so he is an employee of the Texas National Guard and his efforts and his operation were directed by there, not by the federal government.”

  1. This is madness, a brain dead Biden, controlled by those in the shadows, filling the country with uneducated, unskilled, untaxed, unvetted illegals from around the world. Deadly drugs poring in, human trafficking across the nation. Our leaders are AWOL.

  2. All the uneducated illegals coming across our southern boarder are going take all the unskilled jobs in our labor force. Because they want to work . All our uneducated White – Black – Brown citizen are going to be looking for handouts from the government tity

  3. I was shocked to hear what Chuck Schumer said about immigration and ILLEGALS in 2009!!! And apparently obama was og the same….mind? And look where they stand now! Check the video: “Chuck Schumer Addresses 2009 Immigration Law and Policy Conference Co-Sponsored by MPI” I think they won’t let me write the link here….

  4. makes me wonder if the Immigrant drug smugglers deliberately drowned Army SPC. Bishop E. Evans

  5. I’m ready, willing and able if and when I’m needed for defense of our America and against the ones that are causing the problem!!

  6. The border states should have revolted already, but they never have, because Americans have become lazy, apathetic and let the corrupt government and power hungry Democrats do whatever they want. Until MILLIONS of people march PEACEFULLY on DC, and shut down the government and demand a secure border, LAW and ORDER, affordable energy and food-=NOTHING will get done. Somebody has to organize such protests-but not one Conservative have stepped up. I used to write Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity to step up and organize a protest with speakers and a solid peaceful agenda that every American could support-but they never did-and without organization nothing will happen, or a disaster would happen like January 6th where NOTHING was accomplished and set back republicans and Conservatives forever and gave the Democrats a phony narrative to last for all time.
