The spin from the progressive side of the Democratic Party has grown to levels of self-delusion and their out-of-control agenda has the rest of the caucus dreading what may come this November.
That’s according to Fox Business host Stuart Varney, who contends, “The Democrats are extremely nervous.”
During an airing of “Varney & Co.” last week, the host used his “My Take” segment to address the recent op-ed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) in The New York Times titled, “Elizabeth Warren: Democrats Can Avoid Disaster in November.” In the essay, Warren argued it is pivotal that her far-left policies get rammed through the legislature in order to secure Democrat victories in the midterms.
“The Democrats are extremely nervous,” Varney offered before diving into a scathing review of Warren’s op-ed. “They have a pretty good idea that they’re going to lose in November. Politico thinks they lose both the House and the Senate. Senator Elizabeth Warren to the rescue.”
“Writing in The New York Times, she has a plan for victory,” the host explained. “The senator believed that a sharp turn to the left will do the trick. Here’s what she wants: she wants immediate price controls, you can’t let corporations raise prices just to make a profit, no; a windfall profit tax on those wicked oil companies; a global minimum tax on corporate profits; higher taxes on billionaires; cancel all student debt; and spend trillions on green energy, childcare, free pre-K. Do all of this, says Senator Warren, and the Democrats can win.”

“To put it bluntly,” Warren wrote in her essay, “if we fail to use the months remaining before the elections to deliver on more of our agenda, Democrats are headed toward big losses in the midterms.”
“Sorry, I think the exact opposite,” Varney stated flatly. “Do all of that and you lose in a landslide.”
“The word ‘inflation’ does not appear in Senator Warren’s op-ed,” he explained as he made a case for progressives’ disconnect from actual American concerns. “Yet surely, that is the issue that hurts Democrats the most. And the policies the senator is suggesting would be highly inflationary.”
“The words ‘migrant’ or ‘border’ or ‘gasoline’ or ‘food prices,’ none of them appear either. The senator is ignoring the crises afflicting her party. All she has,” Varney declared of her radical proposals, “is a socialist manifesto. But times change.”
Calling out other socialists like Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and her House allies, he expressed, “A year ago, Bernie, Warren, AOC and the Squad, they were dictating far-left policies. Now, they’re a spent force.”
That notion didn’t stop Warren from attempting to blame the other side of the aisle and their platform of small government when she wrote, “While Republican politicians obstruct many efforts to improve people’s lives and many swear loyalty to the Big Lie, the urgency of the next election bears down on us.”
Varney concluded that this op-ed portends a great victory against the radical left in November and added, “The socialists, in my opinion, have failed.”
