The gloat fest over CNN+ becoming the sinking Titanic of leftist media continued for a second day on Friday as Fox News hosts Greg Gutfeld and Tucker Carlson skewered former Fox anchor Chris Wallace for jumping ship to the new streaming network only to find himself out of a job, at least temporarily.

Gutfeld has been on a tear, gleefully mocking Wallace at every opportunity for quitting Fox News. Wallace reportedly left because he didn’t like the opinions of other hosts on the network.

Carlson appeared on “The Five” to promote an upcoming episode from his “Originals” series and was drawn into mocking Wallace by Gutfeld.

“Hey Tucker, I’ve got two questions for you,” Gutfeld started off. “Number one, quite obviously you’re on Fox Nation. This is a special. Fox Nation is a streaming success. Now that CNN+ is defunct, has Fox Nation considered rehiring Chris Wallace for Fox Nation? We could probably get him at a discount. And I’ve seen that he interviews a lot of very interesting people?”

Carlson laughed while replying, “We had a meeting about it this morning in my office.”

“Oh really?” Gutfeld responded laughing as well.

“I was like, no. He just failed! And then one of my producers goes, ‘You know, he’s Mike Wallace’s son,’” Tucker chuckled.

Carlson had Fox Business panelist Charlie Gasparino on his show to discuss the calamitous and historic fall of CNN+ on Thursday. During his show, a chyron read, “Nobody signed up to watch Mike Wallace’s son.”

“I’m sure he’s very good at his job. I don’t watch him much. I didn’t watch him much when he was on our network,” Gasparino bluntly noted.

“I’m with you, man,” Carlson enthusiastically agreed.

Adding significant insult to injury, Fox News posted a clever graphic on Instagram and Twitter showing the ghosts of CNN+ hosts including Anderson Cooper, Brian Stelter, Jake Tapper, and of course, former Fox News anchor Chris Wallace. The ghosts are circling the apropos tombstone of CNN+.

The massive failure of the leftist streaming network after only 30 days was cause for celebration among conservative media outlets, especially Fox News, and they took full advantage of mocking CNN+ for it.

“CNN+ streaming service shutting down just weeks into launch after failing to attract viewers,” read the caption to the graphic taking a huge poke at the now-defunct service.

Adam Klotz, who is a meteorologist with Fox News, loved the graphic, calling it “the funniest thing this account has ever posted,” according to Mediaite.

Conservatives celebrated the epic failure of CNN+ as well, relentlessly mocking it:

But no one put it better or more succinctly than Fox Business anchor Dagen McDowell who quipped that the fall of CNN+ is “the final legacy of the fraud that was Jeff Zucker.”

“What a rolling calamity this is,” she noted. “Couldn’t happen to worse people than Jeff Zucker.”

  1. I actually liked Chris Wallace when he was at Fox. While I disagreed with him at times. A network presenting itself as “Fair and Balanced” needs people who dont toe the party line. Look at CNN or MSNBC, how many of their so called journalists ever deviate from the democrat party line?
NewsFlash: Sometimes we Conservatives do get it wrong. NAFTA comes readily to mind but that was years ago. We laugh at liberals claiming to represent the mainstream and they likely believe themselves. Why? Because they live in a bubble, surrounded by like thinking individuals. We do not need to fall into the same trap of only hearing what we already believe, simply reinforcing our opinions.
Dont be a conservative snowflake who cant tolerate accurate news that conflicts with your beliefs. Fact dont care about your feelings applies as much to conservatives as to the woke crowd.

    1. A network presenting itself as “Fair and Balanced” needs people who don’t toe the party line.”

That was precisely the problem with Wallace. He did toe the party line, the Swamp party. Fox is with the exception of Sean Hannity, who is a total homer, fair and balanced. For that they get labeled “Conservative” by the Left wing echo chamber.

  2. I can’t imagine Fox even considering him again! Made a partisan fool of himself when he was there, IMO, and CNN is where he fits in much better. That job he did on the debate he was supposed to be moderator of, was atrocious. Terrible job of moderating, but a good job of being a biased one. The President not only had to debate the opponent, but the moderator, Chris Wallace, too. He needed to be fired, IMO, because he couldn’t keep his biases out of the debate.

  3. If Wallace comes back – I see a big loss of viewership. That man trashed FOX News and the nerve of him to consider coming back. Makes no sense- so I for one will be gone. They do not need that “has been” Wallace

  4. Rehire?? They’re kidding right? They want to rehire a loser and pay him millions? I knew there was more than one good reason for me to leave FOX.

  5. The question is….WHY would Fox WANT to hire him back? Fox viewers don’t want him back.

  6. I’ve never seen or heard something failing so fast. I stopped watching Mike Wallace’s son on Fox News Sunday way before he left. Was getting sick and tired of his unfairness to conservatives.

  7. Hope they charge you for advertising. You should go on liberal site, they are more gullible.

  8. I don’t understand how the sinking ratings for CNN would have encouraged them to create a CNN+ If you have to pay for a subscription then I suppose they were looking for some direct money to infuse their whole network. Shades of the bee gees : staying alive.

  9. For me, Neil Cavuto gave the final push. I finally quit watching ALL Fox shows in November 2020– yes, even Tucker– after Cavuto savagely muzzled Kaleigh McEnany for daring to call out the obvious: election fraud. It goes without saying that Tucker wears the white hat on primetime. I love the guy. The problem tough is that Fox budgets a considerable percentage of the goldmine revenue Tucker generates to offset losses incurred on their slumping daytime shows. I refuse to contribute so much as a dime to Fox “Daytime.”

    1. Cavuto and Wallace should both go work elsewhere.

As for me, I record what I like and don’t go near the rest.

    2. If you listen you will find cavuto is much more hard facts that have been verified. Tucker will take rumors, facts, opinions , and other quotes from other people, registering the comments to the person or article and then go into his viewpoint. Cavuto is a hard facts guy. If McEnany had the proven numbers on the election fraud, he would have allowed it. Understand what to expect from the different hosts is important. If you watch CNN the way I unfortunately had to, you will see that every show, and I mean every show, at some point covers the same issue almost word for word. In other words, they may have other subject matter on their shows, but they want to repeat one point over and over until viewers are indoctrinated into accepting that one idea. It is pure propaganda. You don’t get that at Fox. There may be a breaking story they all cover, but different hosts cover it differently.

  10. Discount? Free is too much. More reason to not watch FOX. Next thing they will rehire the loser Megyn Kelly face. Yuk.

    1. Even more “reason”: “Fox Nation,” the conerstone of Fox’s mission to purge the “Conservative” conversation to a pay-to-play streaming service. Lachlan Murdoch said it himself; Fox intends to abandon it’s Right Wing Narrative to accomodate a more “Centrist” image.

  11. Wallace was part of the Coup against a duly elected sitting POTUS DJT, which amounts to Treason!
Many so called “reporters” will be held accountable for their perpetuation of the coup against Trump + their lies about Fauci and the jabs which they are still lying about + their rhetoric against conservatives calling us terrorists and insurrectionists which has perpetuated not only mental pain but also it has put our lives in danger bc it is a whistle call for their violent and unhinged viewers to follow through on their rhetoric!
What they did to our president and to us is unforgivable and inexcusable!

  12. Noooooooooo! The Patriot community breathed a sigh of relief when Wallace left Fox. Horrible Mistake!

    1. funny Wallace reminds me of a rat that you would find in the sewer, his face matches his actions!

  13. I heard they are reviving Air America Radio and giving Chrissy the lead spot as he has the perfect face for radio.

  14. Did not read the article. Chris Wallace is a liability. He’s is a spokesperson for the Democrats. Let him find his own way. I always turn him off when it’s his time slot or just mentioned. He made a bad decision maybe he should apply for food stamps and unemployment

    1. Don’t worry about him. He has enough millions stashed away. On the other hand, is it accurate that only current income and not assets counts when applying for food stamps?

  15. He had lost most of his viewers since the 2020 stunt. He left Fox because he wanted a bigger audience that he believed CNN would give him. Most of the Fox viewers were happy he left and his time slot started to get return viewers for the new broadcaster.
This would be a huge mistake to bring back the smug condescending mouth of Wallace. I quit w watching him before the debate and will not watch him no matter where he lands.

  16. Chris Wallace choose a different path going forward, why rehire him for a job when he strongly opposes the views of Fox? Think back to when Wallace hosted the 2020’ election debate. He was not neutral! He took issue with President Trump while supporting Biden and Harris who have created the worst administration sense Jimmy Carter. That adds to the lack of sound judgment and credibility of Chris Wallace! I don’t support Wallace returning to Fox. Wallace is a liability! MSNBC could use Wallace. Jen psaki will soon be employed there, why not add Wallace. MSNBC is dirty armpit. Wallace can certainly add to the smelly ideology of the network! All it takes is hatred.

  17. “Producers discuss rehire of failed Chris Wallace in meeting”
Yeah, I once thought of seeing an ex-girlfriend. Then I remembered why she was ‘EX’.

  18. I’d wager that most of FOX’s viewers are glad he’s gone. He has shown his true colors, and no longer trust him at all. I’ll never forget his moderating that horrible debate.

    1. Seems I read that his time slot was the only one in which Fox never had a #1 show during his tenure. I can see why.

  19. So he’s “Mike Wallace’s” son… Does that put him on a pedestal like Hunter Biden? He is a “real newsman” because of his daddy? Really Fox? Are y’all that far up Biden that you can’t see daylight or what?

  20. Cris’s career is toast. Let CNN set him up to do a podcast from his basement until his contract runs out.

  21. We all know why no one with two brain cells watches CNN, why would any overpaid “Executive” think we’d pay for CNN+ in the middle of massive inflation, where we have to cut spending on food to afford gas? And Chris Wallace was their big draw? CNN isn’t worth saving. Salt the earth over it and be done.

  22. Discounted or not, no one should require a failure! Why would you want that on your team? I wouldn’t!

  23. No way my this scumbag comes back. If he paid Fox to come back, then maybe. It’s good riddance as far as I’m concerned. Fox doesn’t need anymore lefties.

  24. I used to watch CNN every day to get up to date news from everywhere until they Wolf Blitzer injected race into the Katrina rescue which was callous, untrue, and out of line. I have not watched it since. I always hope that CNN will be returned to its straight unvarnished news programming that is not biased toward the left. They need to broadcast both sides of the story!

  25. There is no better way to remind the left leaning media of their absurd thinking! The media outlet can’t accurately report a story, and why pay for the gossip. CNN is a landfill full of reptiles that supports reckless abandonment of what the United State’s has stood for! Many of those people are living in the wrong country! They hate the United State’s! If anyone feels that bad about being here, get out!
I hope CNN continues in a downward spiral. It would be great to see all door’s locked and the windows boarded up!

  26. So the pos bails on fox, then insults the “uncomfortable” platform for cnn and you seriously consider giving him a job. Your viewers don’t matter huh? What a shii show.

  27. Why would they even consider his return. He is an embarrassment to any network. Clearly a propaganda pusher only, not a journalist. But then again so are all stations now. It’s pathetic.

  28. Why would Fox want him back? Even liberals don’t like him. Report from the unemployment office Chris!

  29. Trump haters never realized that there’s a thing called KARMA..What vile mean things you do to others.. will always come back to you somehow.

  30. Chris Wallace would have to pay to get on the air He is the new Dan Rather aka useless as a journalist

  31. Chris Wallace is a smug democrat. I don’t care if Wallace paid Fox to come back. Just NO!

  32. You could get him at a YUGE discount. But why? Just because my neighbor threw out an old toilet doesn’t mean I should run over and grab it from the curb. I don’t need it. I don’t want it. And its really gross.
    Just like Chris ‘Dip-spit’ Wallace..
