Former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and historian Victor Davis Hanson appeared on Fox News Friday and thrashed Disney for lying about the Florida “Parental Rights in Education” bill as well as pointing out that the revocation of its special self-governing status is nothing short of ironic.
“Pam, we did a little bit of quick research. In California, where Disneyland is located, Disney does not have a sanctuary country inside California where they have their own distinct tax status. Yet, Democrats are losing their mind over the fact that Florida is simply leveling the playing field and saying, ‘Hey Disney, you don’t get to be your own country,” Fox News host Pete Hegseth stated, subbing for Sean Hannity.
“Yeah, that’s exactly right Pete. And those woke executives that live in California pay about 40 percent more in their taxes than the executives do in the great state of Florida,” Bondi responded.
“So, you know, we passed this bill in Florida and I’m so proud of Wilton Simpson, our senate president, and our governor for signing it and bringing them to light on it. And this is why it’s so important. The first bill, the Parental Rights bill, as you said, it is protecting 5, 6, 7, and 8 year-olds, okay? Kindergarten through third graders… third graders from not talking about sex in school. I think any parent in America would agree with that. Passed, done, great law,” she proclaimed.
“Then Disney comes in… they lie about our governor, they lie about our Senate, they lie about our House, they lie about what parents want in the state of Florida and they’re held accountable. What they did was they didn’t stay in their own lane. Their lane is entertaining families and making a lot of money for their shareholders. Yet, they shine a huge spotlight on themselves. This law is 55 years old. None of us actually knew the extent of the privileges that Disney had in their own kingdom and now they’re taken away,” Bondi said.
Disney has now lost $41 billion in shareholder value since the release of internal videos exposing the company's plan to inject gender ideology into its children's programming. Conservatives are learning how to fight against woke capital—and we will win.

Noted historian Victor Davis Hanson pointed out that with the revocation of Disney’s special self-governing status, the dynamic of the woke corporations attacking conservative states is now being flipped upside down.
He called the decision a counteraction to leftist companies such as Coca-Cola, Delta Airlines, and Major League Baseball taking liberal stances against conservative legislative decisions.
In that light, Hanson called the Disney decision “ironic.”
Great job on Disney, @GovRonDeSantis! Keep going! 🇺🇸

Democrats …"TAX THE RICH! CORPORATIONS ARE EVIL AND NEED TO PAY THEIR FAIR SHARE! Well, except for Disney."

“Over the last decade we’ve been told that private business can really force these conservative states to their knees – if they have ID laws, Major League Baseball will boycott them, or [North] Carolina has just two bathrooms, and all of our California companies here will shut out billions of dollars,” he recounted.
“So now it’s sort of reverse that. Not really. It’s not even equal yet, but the states are saying we can do this too. We can pass laws that reflect our values, just like you can boycott our states,” Hanson asserted.
He also noted the over-the-top reactions by those on the left such as American Federation of Teachers chief Randi Weingarten, who threateningly declared that decisions like Governor Ron DeSantis’ are “how wars start.”

Even more ironic is that, according to Hanson, Weingarten has a point, although not the one she intended. According to the historian, she just made the case illustrating that the Third Reich in Germany and the Maoist Revolution in China can be partially traced back to the indoctrination of youth into a totalitarian ideology.
“It’s kind of ironic that she was right,” he astutely commented.
