Conservative radio and TV firebrand Dana Loesch literally dragged what she called “a bunch of Mitt Romneys” on the right who are slamming Florida conservatives for fighting back against Disney leftists and “salting the Earth” after they attacked parental rights.
“On ‘salting the earth’ re Disney and DeSantis? Conservatives aren’t waging this war. Disney, not conservatives, chose to themselves ‘salt the earth,’ against parents over parental sovereignty. They and their surrogates accused parents of murdering gays, for crying out loud …” Loesch began in an epic and viral Twitter thread.
“…Disney waged a heinous, scorched earth campaign against parents and it blew up in their collective face. Do not start lecturing these parents and those who support them about ‘salting the earth,'” she railed.
“The same people that lament pushback today are the same ones who lectured us tea party folk for being too loud, too aggressive, too uncompromising. Without that spirit in the party Republicans would be nothing but a bunch of Mitt Romneys,” Loesch charged.
“Look, grace and justice can coexist. Entities who try to usurp parental authority should receive pushback. Removing exemptions isn’t harsh or unfair, to the contrary, it’s fair by making Disney abide by the rules all other biz must follow,” she stated hitting the argument out of the park.

Her heated comments come after a number of Republicans attacked DeSantis and others for going after the Reedy Creek District issue. The Florida governor is poised to sign a bill stripping Disney of its special exemption that allows the park to basically govern itself. Other parks receive no such consideration in Florida and many believe the move is long overdue to level the playing ground. The removal of Disney’s special status will cost the company millions every year.
Loesch pointed out on her podcast that Disney is facing a reckoning.
“My friend Kurt Schlichter said, ‘Yeah, there’s every reason to salt the earth. To demonstrate you don’t screw with us because we keep getting screwed with and we’re tired of it. Use your power against us, we’ll use our power back against you,'” Loesch stated.

She is in full agreement with the “salt the earth” sentiment when it comes to the left over this.
“Disney’s been woke for a long time and this latest push… this went beyond advocacy guys within the scope of their own business. This is a corporation that actually believed it had more of a right to influence Florida’s children than the actual parents of said children. Its executives’ its heir and even its damn CEO smeared parents who simply wanted the right to know of and consent to sexual education in elementary schools,” Loesch asserted.
“I would be more sympathetic to these calls for caution from conservatives if conservatives as a whole had this history of waging these scorched earth campaigns on everybody and on every single industry that’s ever targeted us because of petty political partisanship. But we don’t do that. If anything, too many on our side have been meek. They think that if we are overly nice and we excuse leftist bad behavior, that the left will be persuaded to vote Republican because you know of all the kindness. When has that ever worked? It’s rhetorical,” she scoffed.
Loesch went on to praise DeSantis for standing strong in the face of backlash from both the left and the right.
