Americans who cheered the landmark ruling by a Florida federal judge that ended the Biden administration’s transportation mask mandate soon discovered that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) asked for an appeal in a brazen effort to reimpose the forced masking, a move that drew harsh criticism from many including Fox News’s Judge Jeanine Pirro.
On Wednesday, the agency which has exploited the COVID pandemic as the pretense for a massive power grab that has effectively allowed it to supersede the elected government and dispose of the U.S. Constitution announced that it would be fighting the decision by U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle that it exceeded its authority with the mandate that required travelers to wear the stifling facial coverings under the threat of severe penalty.
Judge Jeanine dropped the hammer on the CDC during Wednesday’s edition of “Jesse Watters Primetime” where she was filing in for the popular host and broke down the out-of-control agency’s request that Biden’s politicized Department of Justice pursue a legal challenge against Judge Mizelle’s ruling.
“According to reports, the CDC is urging the Department of Justice to appeal a Florida judge’s ruling to invalidate the federal mask mandate for public transportation,” Pirro said. “This appeal is a brazen attempt by a deeply politicized and corrupt CDC to wrench freedom and personal choice away from Americans. They say masks on planes and trains are necessary for public health due to COVID.”
In its statement advising that it would be fighting to retain its control over American freedoms, the CDC wrote that it was appealing in order to “protect” its authority “beyond the ongoing assessment,” a flashing warning sign that it plans to use its extra-constitutional powers in the future.
“It is CDC’s continuing assessment that at this time an order requiring masking in the indoor transportation corridor remains necessary for the public health,” the agency said in its press release.

Pirro observed that COVID hospitalizations have fallen dramatically since January, saying that “this is good news, things are getting better, mask mandates are not needed, but the minute the judge made this ruling, the Biden administration had their fists up ready to fight,” showing a video clip of White House press secretary Jen Psaki expressing the regime’s dissatisfaction with the ruling and their desire to preserve their power, an admission directly from the proverbial horse’s mouth.
“You heard it right there, it’s all about preserving their power, but what else could we expect from such a politicized CDC?” Pirro asked.
“Just look at what they did to our schools,” she said, “classrooms were shut down for over a year, and kids remained muzzled for way too long all thanks to the cozy relationship between the CDC and the teachers’ unions, especially the United Federation of Teachers, who colluded with the White House to influence the CDC’s guidance for schools.”
“They came up with policies that had little to do with science and everything to do with politics, and the agency is now playing politics at our border as well,” Pirro added. “CDC Director Rochelle Walensky announced that she would no longer authorize Title 42 at our southern border, effective May 23, which would trigger a giant surge of migrants.”
“So if the CDC no longer thinks COVID is an issue at the border, then why do they think it’s a problem on airplanes?” Judge Jeanine asked. “We know one thing about the CDC, under Joe Biden it’s a politicized agency, and it completely destroyed its credibility over the last year. So the question is, can we really rely on the CDC’s regulations or opinions, given its shameful track record?”
“While the CDC was double-checking the science before telling the DOJ to file an appeal, the left was busy losing their mind over the judge who made the decision,” Pirro continued, noting the smear campaign by Democrat operatives being waged against Mizelle whom she said, “has become public enemy number one to liberals and the left-wing media.”
“They aren’t getting their way,” she said, “they want masks on planes forever, so it’s time to blame someone, and who better than the 35-year-old judge appointed by Donald Trump?”

IMO, Walensky at the CDC has to check with the teachers’ union, before she can make any decision. Has done so in the past, and IMO, she isn’t really fit for the job she’s in. As she has said, “IT’S HARD!”
Someone should post the disclaimer on their website that the mask is ineffective. CDC is a private entity, not a government agency, funded by the likes of Bill Gates and Soros. They should be ignored, period

Good call Ms. Pirro. First the CDC is a worthless, wasteful entity. I was a doctor and the CDC NEVER entered into any discussions/consideration for patient care/treatment. Nobody is health care gives two shoots what they think or say. Second, the CDC is a drain on the US economy and a waste of our tax dollars. For proof do a web search “CDC GIF pool poo”. This is product of supposedly educated people? I think NOT.
I confess, I didn’t look it up before writing this but back about 60 years ago in school, when civics was actually taught, I seem to recall the Constitution or Declaration of Independence having a line about when government isn’t working it’s time to abolish it and form new government. With the corruption we have seen in the past few years by just about every government institution, CIA, FBI, Congress, CDC, DOJ, EPA, and under Obama, the good old IRS, and of course our incompetent woke military, I think we are to that point. I don’t see how we can root out all the systemic corruption.
