Billionaire Elon Musk was subjected to the full wrath of the corrupt establishment after the news broke of his offer to buy Twitter and the idea that he could restore fairness and free speech to the social media giant was met with anger and disbelief as many took to the platform to air their grievances.

Musk’s $43 billion bid also drew resistance from major shareholders in the San Francisco-based company including one notable foreign investor, Saudi Prince Al Waleed bin Talal who rejected the SpaceX and Tesla CEO’s effort to gain control over the platform which has become a vital tool that is essential for the rich and powerful to shape and enforce approved narratives.

On Thursday, the obscenely wealthy prince who has been dubbed the “Warren Buffett of Saudi Arabia” for his vast business holdings took to the platform where he tweeted, “I don’t believe that the proposed offer by @elonmusk ($54.20 per share) comes close to the intrinsic value of Twitter given its growth prospects,”

“Being one of the largest & long-term shareholders of Twitter, @Kingdom_KHC & I reject this offer,” wrote Prince Al Waleed.

Musk punched back in a brutal response to the 67-year-old Saudi billionaire, drawing attention to his homeland’s long record of human rights abuses including an intolerance for freedom of speech which is forbidden by the rulers of the repressive Islamic theocracy.

“Interesting. Just two questions, if I may,” he wrote. “How much of Twitter does the Kingdom own, directly & indirectly?”

“What are the Kingdom’s views on journalistic freedom of speech?” Musk asked.

Saudi Arabia consistently ranks near the bottom in the annual Reporters Without Borders world press freedom index, clocking in at 170 of 180 countries rated in the 2021 edition.

There is also the matter of the heinous murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi of The Washington Post who in 2018 was brutally killed in a hit that U.S. officials believe was sanctioned by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

Twitter users responded to the spat between Musk and the prince.

“I love that Elon Musk’s potential influence in Twitter caused so much hysteria in the West while this Saudi billionaire’s massive role never created any concern,” tweeted Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald. “That’s because one says he believes in free speech and one clearly does not, and it’s free speech that spurs panic.”

Others weighed in with their own takes.

If a man can be judged by his enemies, Musk’s attempted takeover of Twitter has landed him on the bad side of avowed enemies of free speech both foreign and domestic.

  1. Interesting how Musk’s Twitter involvement seems to parallel President Trump’s involvement with the U.S. Gov.t, FBI/DOJ and Deep State.
They both exposed and brought the public’s attention to the inherent deceit, corruption, and unethical behavior of both organizations.
Now customers need to abandon Twitter and Big Tech as much as possible and drive them to bankruptcy.😇
God Bless Trump, Musk and everyone who stands up to the Powers That Be.

  2. If Elon Musk does not end up owner of Twitter, move Twitter to SA where the ‘Kingdom’ can own it since they are one of the largest shareholders. If Twitter, (although made in the USA) doesn’t respect the American Constitution, the values of Freedom and Free Speech, then Twitter should leave the U.S.and reside in one of these countries that honor nothing related to the American people’s values and I do mean the American people, not the dimly lit Dems and Rhinos…

  3. When the left feels threatened by Elon Musk’s desire to take over Twitter but apparently (based on their silence) is OK that a Saudi prince that silences women and assassinates journalists that speak out against the empire it’s yet another GLARING example of how liberals hate ACTUAL free speech. LET’S GO ELON (LGE)- oh and LGB too.

    1. It seems that the only people who value freedom of speech as well as liberty are people who were raised in places where those things weren’t common.

I still think we should airli=ting Le=tists into Venzuela so they can experience the “utopia” they seek to in=lict on the rest of us.

  4. Jamal Khashoggi was NEVER a journalist for The Washington Post

HE WAS A SPOOK – he posted whatever Qtar wanted him to post

you dont own a $million home near DC on a journalist salary for posting 6 articles

He ended as all spooks should end

  5. Stay strong Elon as you are the one threat to these radicals that they have no answer for. They may be able to stop us individual tugboats in the harbor but, they can’t stop the freight train barreling down hill towards them! Please stay the course sir!

  6. It is a sign of the times that issues we all used to agree upon are now controversial. We all wanted secure borders..not so much anymore. We all agreed that producing enough energy domestically to fuel our country was a good thing..not so much anymore.. We all agreed that a secret ballot was intrinsic to a working democracy,,not so much anymore and now even free speech is something we don’t agree upon. There are two Americas and sadly , if we cant agree upon the basic issues listed above, we wont be able to agree upon much.

    1. And who pray-tell do you think is responsible for this….. >>> Old killary herself with remarks (basket of deplorables); And our current senile, feckless “divider N chief” with his “shadow government” tearing this country apart…. PERIOD

  7. Any idea what someone might say under “free speech” that has the entire world so freaking terrified? Open the flood gates, Elon…..let’s see what pours out and why it’s so SCARY!!!

    1. Perhaps it would be the truth — that the current resident in the White House did not receive 81 million votes after all.

  8. Musk should keep his $43 billion, sell off what he has in Twitter it will cause a panic to sell off stocks because price will go down. Use that money and start up his own private company or invest in Truth a new place to post.

  9. Amazing isn’t it?…in today’s ClownWorld that the obvious goodness of unfettered free speech to allow “opposing” views to be expressed….has caused such backlash? I am old enough to remember this phrase when USA was still a free democratic society–> “I may not agree with what you say, but will fight to the death your RIGHT to say it“. In today’s world, it has changed to the woke, liberal/left saying…. “You BETTER believe what I say you should believe, or be destroyed”. Quite a change……

  10. I will be disappointed if Musk does not buy twitter. If one of the far left anti-free speech clowns such as google or facebook do it real opinions are doomed!!

  11. Elon Musk seems to be doing more for upholding American constitutional ideals than any of the pols or Big Tech or media who have their jobs simply because of that Constitution.

  12. Much like President Trump who smoked out and exposed and all the liars, phony’s, rinos, corrupt government officials, closet authoritarians and lefties in both parties… Elon Musk is doing the same at TWIT ter. Now we know that those champions of free speech in saudi arabia and it’s oligarch sheiks own a big chunk of the platform. So, how much does putin and the russian commie party, and xi and the red chinese own?

    1. I’d like to know that, too! It would explain why he came out and said he might not be able to buy the whole company. Perhaps not even most of it, like I suggested elsewhere.

  13. It is a well documented fact that Prince Alwaleed bin Talal and the country of Saudi Arabia do not believe in free speech and for that reason in its self would not want Elon Musk to purchase Twitter and even though the prince may own some amount of shares he has just one vote. My advice to Prince Alwaleed bin Talal would be if you have a problem with how the American Company of Twitter may be operated if purchased by Elon Musk you should sell you stock in the company and you are rich enough to start your own social media company.
