Fox News’ Jesse Watters asked during Tuesday’s “Jesse Watters Primetime” why, after two years of COVID policy repercussions and now record-high inflation, do Americans keep listening to so-called experts when they continue to get everything wrong?
“Experts are supposed to have all the answers. But what we’re finding out today is that experts have a lot to say, but most of it is wrong,” Watters began.
“Let’s look at inflation. The experts said this was a transitory phase.”
Watters cut to a clip of Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen claiming in more than one interview last year that inflation was “transitory.”
“Inflation has skyrocketed to a 40-year high. How could the experts not see this coming?” Watters asked. “They pumped out trillions in COVID relief — the largest flood of federal money in world history. Not to mention the Fauci lockdowns wrecked supply chains. Experts told us it was a good idea because lockdowns save lives.”
Audio of Dr. Anthony Fauci was played in which he insisted that lockdowns were vital in saving lives.
“The fact that we shut down when we did and the rest of the world did, has saved hundreds of millions of infections and millions of lives.”- Fauci.
“Because of the experts, we locked down. People lost their jobs, their small businesses, kids suffered and inflation built up, all for nothing,” Watters argued.
“A Johns Hopkins study found lockdowns had little to no effect on COVID deaths. Where could the experts have gotten this stupid lockdown idea from? China, of course,” he continued.
World Health Organization (WHO) Director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was then shown making the arguably wrong-headed pronouncement that the communist government of China should be congratulated for its efforts in controlling the novel coronavirus outbreak … which became a pandemic.
“China is actually setting a new standard for outbreak response,” the director was shown to say.
Watters reacted, “What a good idea. Let’s take lockdown advice from the people who unleashed the virus on us and then lied about it.”
Watters went on to detail the lockdowns currently in place in Shanghai, China, which appear to be nothing short of martial law in the face of recent protests over such lockdowns and other COVID-related mandates. Additionally, he drew comparisons between states that allow top-down enforcement and defer their citizens’ well-being to the long arm of the federal government, and how the results vary greatly when compared to a state like Florida in terms of economic recovery and COVID policies.
Watters also criticized the state of California’s handling of its ever-worsening crisis of homelessness, where it seems the best idea they have is to throw enormous sums of money into short-sighted remedies.
“Nowhere, though, have experts been more wrong than on climate change,” he continued. “Since the 1970s, experts have been telling us we’re just a couple of years away from extinction.”
“In 1967, experts predicted a dire famine was coming in 1975 and it was too late to avoid it. I wasn’t even born yet, but I think I would have read about the famine of ’75,” Watters said.
“In 1971, experts told The Washington Post that a new Ice Age would be here in the next 50 years. Well, it’s 51 years later and 65 degrees here in New York,” he continued. “In 1989, experts at the U.N. warned that rising seas would obliterate nations if global warming wasn’t reversed by the year 2000, and in 2004, the experts at the Pentagon told Bush that climate change will destroy us, it’s a bigger threat than terrorism and that Britain would feel like Siberia by 2020.”
“All wrong,” Watters declared.
He concluded, “We can’t trust these people anymore. We need to do our own research. We have to use common sense. Stop trusting what the experts say because someone who has a Master’s degree doesn’t mean they know everything or anything, for that matter.”
“The media throws around the term expert to give whatever narrative they’re trying to sell some weight,” he explained. “Saying the world’s going to end is a pretty juicy headline, so they call up an expert who they know is going to give them the quote they want. They throw it in the article and have a great story verified by the experts.”

And most people tell you the covid vaccine is safe and effective, likes of doctors, Pope, Dali Lama and the list goes on are just pimps for the pharmaceuticals, they really don’t know, are just drug pushers.
Like Jesse or not he made the point. To watch the montage you become convinced that America has become hoodwinked by government experts who truly don’t know shit
Not to worry for long. After seeing what is coming out of our universities lately there will soon be no experts to listen to. Students don’t learn anything anymore. Attendance equals worthless degrees in the art of protesting. They don’t require SATs anymore since most cannot read them. Employers can no longer find qualified applicants. Except for school districts that have found a home for the weirdos.
Living in Arizona I have first hand knowledge that climate change is BS. I moved to Arizona in 1983. That October there was so much water in the Colorado River that, despite opening the flood gates, water went over the dam and flooded the lower Colorado River. Now 39 years later the lake is at a low level. So the doomsday profits are saying that in 38 years we went from floods to famine and it’s because of climate change! Let’s be real! Also, let’s remember, Hoover dam is not even 100 years old. Planet earth is, what, 4 BILLION years old.
Wake up people, you are being scammed by people, like John Kerry, who are making money off your fears.
There are no longer experts on anything. There are only people that have agenda’s.

That is so true. I’ve been saying for years that because the government has grown to the extent that it is by far the largest purchaser of “research” and “studies”, every “academic” and “expert” on the planet well knows what the government’s agenda is, so if they want to get paid for their “work” (and continue to get grants and subsidies in the future) they must burp up “findings” that the government wants and needs to push their narrative and agenda.
Science vs. Experts
Trust science but not so-called experts. The three guidelines of the Scientific Method are specificity, objectivity, and accountability. As noted in the novel, Retribution Fever, we Americans should be applying those guidelines to our politicians. The novel explains how to do so.
As for experts, by what criteria does one become an expert? Who decides? Is this commentator an expert, having published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international meetings? Perhaps.
