With their chances of retaining their one-party rule over the federal government shrinking by the day with a predicted midterm shellacking on the horizon, Democrats and their mouthpieces are in full-blown panic mode, hysterically predicting that American democracy will come to do an end along with their iron-fisted control of Congress.
Such fearmongering chatter has intensified over the last week as President Joe Biden remains enormously unpopular, prices continue rising and Nancy Pelosi’s sham January 6 committee fails to grab the attention of the majority of the population outside of Washington D.C. and other bastions of the liberal elite, and it will likely only become more shrill as the party’s date with destiny draws closer.
Now, every critic, every setback, and any attempt to point out that the crushing burden inflicted upon ordinary Americans by food and gas prices that are less the fault of villainous Russian leader Vladimir Putin than the Biden administration’s own failed policies are a sign that democracy is on the cusp of extinction, at least as “democracy” has been redefined by Democrats who have cynically hijacked the term as a cloak for their extremist, transformational agenda and their control of the political system.
Fred Wellman, the former executive director of the disgraced Lincoln Project warned, “‘Norms and traditions’ are going to end our democracy.”

Washington Post hysteric Jennifer Rubin suggested that COVID may be “hastening” the demise of democracy.
“Trust in U.S. institutions has been declining for years, thanks to government scandals, economic dislocation, increased inequality and social media,” she wrote. “Now, evidence is growing that the coronavirus pandemic is making the phenomenon worse.”
The data strongly suggest that we are emerging from the crisis with lower levels of trust than before. This might account for why Americans seem excessively grouchy and unwilling to credit government for the recovery thus far.https://t.co/wCsoCn9YcO

She complains that too many Americans are “excessively grouchy and unwilling to credit government for the recovery,” neglecting to mention that much distrust stems from the authoritarian measures enacted during the pandemic on the advice of so-called experts who locked down normal life, destroyed businesses, shuttered schools and ruined lives.
“This is a problem for governance and for democracy,” Rubin claimed. “People with exceedingly low levels of trust are often disposed to favor authoritarian, right-wing parties; embrace conspiracy theories; and feel victimized by outsiders,” a not thinly-veiled snipe at former President Donald J. Trump and his supporters.
Actor/director Rob Reiner whined, “If Donald Trump is not Indicted, America will no longer be a Democracy. It’s that simple.”

Rolling Stone magazine, once a foremost bastion of opposition to corrupt authority before it became another Democrat propaganda organ published a bitter screed attacking Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia who torpedoed Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda, accusing him of knifing Democrats and bailing on saving democracy.

Back in February, MSNBC’s Donny Deutsch said that if Dems don’t start winning elections that “democracy is over,” and insisted that he’s “not overstating it.”
“If we don’t get this right this time it’s over. You put McCarthy back in, you put Trump back in our democracy is over. I’m not overstating it. That’s where we’re at. And the Democrats have to understand what wins elections and what loses elections,” he said.

Malicious actor Liz Cheney also raised the specter of the demise of “democracy” to smear GOP House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy.

And when it comes to the distortion of “democracy,” there are few Democrats who have been more vocal about the illegitimacy of elections than Hillary Clinton, the embittered sore loser of the fateful election that put a political outsider into the White House and who continues to accept the will of the people, especially the working-class Rust Belt voters who were instrumental in the collapse of the “blue wall” right on top of her when they voted for Trump.

But most of all, they mean that if Americans again decide to elect the “wrong” candidate as they did in 2016 with Donald J. Trump, that it will be the end of democracy, an assertion directly out of Orwell’s 1984.
Just listen to Clinton.
NBC's Willie Geist sets up Hillary to argue "I do think but for Jim Comey and the stunt he pulled 10 days before the election, I would have won."

“I think that could be the end of our democracy. Not to be too you know, pointed about it, but I want people to understand that this is a make-or-break point,” she told TODAY show host Willie Geist in December, “If he were, or someone of his ilk were once again to be elected president, and if especially he had a Congress that would do his bidding, you will not recognize our country,”
MSNBC political analyst John Heilemann recently let the cat out of the bag on the Democrats’ democracy in peril scam when he suggested that the only hope of avoiding an electoral bloodbath and the loss of the House in November is to scare voters into putting aside their economic concerns and sacrificing their own economic wellbeing in order to preempt a second Trump presidency.
On 4/5, MSNBC analyst John Heilemann explained that Democrat strategists are discussing how they can save the House by scaring "the crap" out of their voters about Trump. (The Terry McAuliffe playbook.)

As always with the Democrats, there is nowhere that they won’t go to preserve their political power and fearmongering remains one of their primary tactics.
