As the investigation into the subway shooting that occurred in Brooklyn, NY Tuesday continues, police have released information about a person of interest they believe may be connected to the assault who is alleged to have posted numerous videos threatening violence, making statements like, “I should have gotten a gun, and just started shooting motherf*ckers.”
Late Tuesday, the New York Police Department (NYPD) released images of Frank James, 62, whom they believe to be connected to the shooting at the 36th St station in Sunset Park. Initial reports had indicated that around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday a man had used a smoke device and opened fire on passengers wherein several were shot and 13 were injured.
Updated information finds that at least 10 individuals suffered gunshot wounds out of the nearly 30 treated for injuries which included smoke inhalation, Fox News reported. James, who lists his home address in the Bronx, is said to have addresses in Wisconsin and Philadelphia, PA.

According to a report from Newsweek, James had previously been interviewed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and added into their database and was then cleared in 2019. Online activity allegedly posted by James has raised eyebrows and serious concerns as calls for “extermination” and desires to kill people were expressed.

In one video attributed to James, the man is heard saying, “We should be exterminated.”
In another that is believed to be a segment from a video entitled “Domesticated Averages,” the individual is heard saying, “This is why it’s important to think about what you’re going to do before you do it. Let’s not forget, I’ve been through a lot of sh*t where I could say I wanted to kill people. I wanted to watch people die right in front of my f*cking face immediately. But I thought about the fact that, hey man, I don’t want to go no f*cking prison – f*ck that.”
Damn, this was Posted yesterday, the suspect Frank James speaks about how he has had urges to cause people harm and promoted controlling your inner impulses. With the way he speaks of jail it honestly wouldn’t shock me if this becomes a case of suicide #Brooklyn #brooklynattack pic.twitter.com/hq7VsmBq5y

There is also content that calls for segregation and maligns groups of people based on their race. “Blacks and whites, so-called, should not even be in the same hemisphere,” the man in the video can be heard saying.
Journalist Andy Ngo shared another video reportedly from James where he laments the fact that Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first black woman appointed to the Supreme Court, is married to a white man.

The Daily Mail detailed other videos attributed to the person of interest where he allegedly made remarks like, “Now I’m wanting to kill everything in sight. I was planning to kill everything I saw based on how I was treated by these,” and “And so the message to me is: I should have gotten a gun, and just started shooting motherf*ckers.”
“It’s just a matter of time before these white motherf*ckers decide, ‘Hey listen. Enough is enough. These n*gg*rs got to go,” James was reported to have said.
They also reported on his dissatisfaction with the job that Mayor Eric Adams has done in handling the issue of homelessness in New York.
“Eric Adams, Eric Adams: What are you doing brother?” he asked. “What’s happening with this homeless situation. Every car I went to was loaded with homeless people. It was so bad I couldn’t even stand. I had to keep moving from car to car. He can’t stop no crime in no subways. He may slow it down but he ain’t stopping it. That means you’d have to have police in every station and that’s just not possible.”
James, who is said to be approximately 5’ 5″ and between 175 – 180 pounds is still being sought by the NYPD. He remains a person of interest after a set of keys for a U-Haul van rented in Philadelphia by him were located at the scene. NYPD Chief of Detectives James Essig is offering as much as $50,000 for information that could help them locate the person responsible for the shooting as manhunts with help from the FBI continue.
