Daily Beast columnist Wajahat Ali decided to recount a story on Sunday full of holes on Twitter concerning someone who allegedly told him to take off his mask in Florida because the virus was fake and his comeback got noticed, prompting a beat-down by Gov. Ron DeSantis’ Press Secretary Christina Pushaw.
“Dude just told me to take off my mask because the virus is fake. I’m in Florida,” Ali quipped on Twitter.
“Fake news, we are all dead in Florida already,” Pushaw snarked not missing a beat.
Ali was endlessly mocked and dragged for the tweet with many stating they simply didn’t believe his story.

One brutally commented, “Actually, he’s politely letting you know how stupid you look.”

Another doubted the veracity of the claim, “I’ll take “things that didn’t happen” for 500.”

Yet another user named Eric Spencer was amazed over the utter stupidity of the assertion by Ali, “This tweet is art. First, he made it up. But he made it up to say, ‘hUrR dUrR fLoRiDuH r DuM.’ But in his made-up story, he’s wearing a mask. In 2022. So while the made-up person in the made-up story is dumb, he’s WAY dumber in his own made-up story. Simply amazing.”

Attorney Damin Toell nailed Ali with a tweet from last year, “If he’s in Florida, I guess we know which choice Wajahat made.”
Ali’s referenced tweet read:
There’s a deadly pandemic. What do you choose?
1) “Life.” Great please proceed to vaccines and masks and a healthy life inshallah.
2) “Freedom.” Are you sure? Really? Well, OK then. Please proceed to Florida and Texas. Thoughts and prayers.

A commenter named Ahmed Al Assliken really owned Ali over the tweet, “And then i told you to go f*** yourself as i walked away with your mom.”

Why do people always tell radical leftists that COVID is fake, but I’ve never heard that COVID was fake once in real life? So bizarre.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 @ the responses to the Ali guy and their mask/vax flex and some admitting they still got infected. Do they not realize how dumb they look when criticizing FL? 🤦🏻♂️
