A new poll showing that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis leads the Republican field in a key state if former President Donald J. Trump chooses not to run again in 2024 is yet another sign that his stand against COVID tyranny, transgender indoctrination and Critical Race Theory is a big winner.
With Trump’s star power, resume, business credentials and perseverance in the face of everything that the corrupt establishment has thrown at him along with his formidable following, he is a slam-dunk for the nomination if he launches a comeback as expected but DeSantis is a rising star who stands out among the retreads who also covet the party’s nomination.
The Sunshine State Republican’s national name recognition has been buoyed by the ferocious leftist attack on Florida’s so-called “don’t say gay” parental rights bill which has been spearheaded by Disney and is as dishonest as it is relentless, DeSantis’ defiance in the face of corporate and celebrity bullying has demonstrated that like Trump, he doesn’t back down.
According to the survey by CWS Research on the Texas presidential primary poll, the Sunshine State Republican absolutely clobbers Lone Star State Senator Ted Cruz by a tally of 48-19 percent.

He also cleans the clock of current Texas Governor Greg Abbott along with Nikki Haley, the former United States ambassador to the United Nations under Trump.
In the same survey though, DeSantis badly trails Trump who more than doubles his numbers while clubbing Cruz who was his only real competitor in the 2016 GOP primaries by nearly 40 percent.

Also, a Twitter poll by conservative pundit Matt Walsh asking whether Trump or DeSantis is preferred as the 2024 GOP nominee, a whopping 73 percent of respondents cast their vote in favor of the Florida governor as of Sunday morning.

In another sign of his popularity, Governor DeSantis has amassed a war chest of $100 million for his reelection campaign, a staggering amount that shows that if there is an opening in 2024, that he will be a fundraising juggernaut that will strike terror into the hearts of Democrats, cutting into the advantage provided by their network of murky dark money groups and deep-pocketed leftist donors.
In becoming the $100 million man, the nation’s best governor has largely raised the money through his Friends of Ron DeSantis political committee, tapping into the resources of grassroots donors who will be instrumental in a White House run and a huge advantage to any GOP primary contenders if Trump doesn’t run.
“It’s the kind of fundraising chops that “catapults him into the top tier of potential GOP candidates,” said Scott Reed, a veteran GOP operative and former top strategist for the US Chamber of Commerce,” according to a CBS Miami report. “He’s been asking for big licks — $5 million and $10 million per fundraiser, and he’s getting them and that’s a warning sign,”
“DeSantis is the talk of every Republican cocktail party and every organizational meeting. His support spans the money class and the movement conservatives. And that’s a strong combination early in the game,” he said.
On Saturday, DeSantis was cheered by the crowd when he entered for a UFC event at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, a show of support for a governor who has stood up for the freedom of his state’s residents at a time when other leaders have stomped on civil liberties and aligned themselves with the regime in Washington D.C.

While Democrats and their RINO accomplices would like nothing more than to have Trump not run again in 2024 against Biden or perhaps Hillary Clinton, facing off with DeSantis will be a nightmare scenario, especially after the “woke” left’s give of elevating his national profile in the temper tantrum over the Florida parental rights bill that put a choke chain on the groomers.

The LAST thing we would want here in Florida would be to lose DeSantis as Governor ! However even though I’m an AVID Trump supporter, DeSantis would make a GREAT President as well !! Maybe a Trump/DeSantis ticket !
