CNN’s Brian Stelter was caught completely off guard by a college student who turned the tables on the portly propagandist during an event featuring many of the top purveyors of disinformation in the mainstream media.

During the so-called “Disinformation and the Erosion of Democracy” conference where those most responsible for the cataclysmic loss of faith in the media gathered in Chicago to cast blame in every direction but the one that was true, CNN’s chief media correspondent was a part of a panel when he was confronted by a young man with a very relevant question along with a list of examples.

Identifying himself as Christopher Phillips, the college freshman lowered the boom on Stelter over the fake news that has been the top product of his employer, the self-proclaimed “most trusted” name in news, flummoxing the CNN host who had no answer other than to deflect.

“My question is for Mr. Stelter,” Phillips began. “You’ve all spoken extensively about Fox News being a purveyor of disinformation but CNN is right up there with them.”

“They pushed the Russian collusion hoax, they pushed the Jussie Smollett hoax, they smeared Justice Kavanaugh as a rapist, and they also smeared Nick Sandmann as a white supremacist, and yes, they dismissed the Hunter Biden laptop affair as pure Russian disinformation,” he said, hardly a complete list of CNN’s falsehoods, anonymously sourced gossip and gaslighting but any truly extensive list would likely take hours.

“With mainstream corporate journalists becoming little more than apologists and cheerleaders for the regime, is it time to finally declare that the canon of journalistic ethics is dead or no longer operative?” Phillips asked.

“All the mistakes of the mainstream media, and CNN in particular, seem to magically all go in one direction,” he added, “are we expected to believe that this is all just some sort of random coincidence or is there something else behind it?”

“Too bad, time for lunch,” Stelter replied before brushing off the student’s question as being just a product of “right-wing” media and telling Phillips that “I’ll come over and talk in more detail after this,” when he wouldn’t be captured on camera defending CNN’s lies.

“I think that you’re describing a different channel than the one that I watch, but I understand that is a popular right-wing narrative about CNN,” he said. “I think it’s important when we talk about shared reality and democracy – all these networks, all these news outlets have to defend democracy and when they screw up, admit it.”

Stelter then changed the subject to Fox News reporter Benjamin Hall who was injured in Ukraine and how CNN joined with The New York Times, the paper which is CNN’s closest competitor in churning out whoppers to get the employee of their conservative competitor out of the country, completely ducking answering Phillips’ question or defending CNN’s false reportage.

But Stelter was caught dead to rights and Twitter knew it.

Phillips also took to Twitter, thanking Stelter and persisting in trying to get an answer to his question, “thank you @brianstelter for taking my question and having a conversation with me afterwards, but i am STILL wondering: if CNN is truly unbiased, WHY is every mistake they make an overstep in favor of democrats and against republicans??”

The event which was sponsored by the gospel for the coastal cultural and media elite, The Atlantic was all the more ridiculous in that it was held after the acknowledgement that the contents of Hunter Biden laptop were indeed real and not the “Russian disinformation” that nearly the entire establishment media claimed that it was.

  1. FOX NEWS or NEWSMAX needs to hire this young man. He asks better questions than many or the WhiteHouse news gatherers do.

  2. Wow! Philipps demonstrates what a person in the media should be performing as daily news people. This is of course what Stelter does not understand and is mentally incapable of doing as most of the phony news pushers do on most of the supposed News fiction shows..

  3. In the movie Con AIr there was a scene where one of the REALLY PSYCHOTIC prisoners who had commandeered a plane asked Nicholas Cage “You know what IRONY IS? Dancing to the tune of a band was killed in a plane crash”! THAT was NOTHING compared to the PANEL discussing “DISINFORMATION”!! The dems are TRULY INSANE!

  4. The Freshman has a brain, a good one. Stelter doesn’t have a functioning brain,,,, and he showed it around the country on live tv! He wanted to break for lunch,,,go figure!!

  5. Their opinion: Everyone but us lies.
CNN wins the Miss Information Pageant everytime!

  6. That guy right there, Brian Stelter, he made me involuntarily laugh out loud. Good thind I wasn’t taking a swallow of my coffee; the mess would’ve been legendary…..

  7. Outside of their own little circles and bubbles, where they all think alike, Liberals can never defend their positions intellectually, because they are indefensible and unsustainable.

  8. Journalism used to be the Working Man’s job, it didn’t require anything but a good grasp on language and the willingness to put yourself out there for the truth. To shine a light on corruption and crime. Then the government and rich elites stepped in and made it into a secondary education program, and because the education system is owned by them, they can shape and alter the curriculum as needed to create their propagandists.

  9. It sounds like this so-called conference on misinformation is, in itself, misinformation. The phony media, like the one represented by Stelter, are just trying to deflect their true lying nature!!

  10. This kid just proved with Stelter’s help what we already knew: “Stelter is definitely out to lunch”!
