Black Lives Matter reportedly tried to squelch a story from New York Magazine exposing how the group “secretly bought” a $6 million home in Southern California using donations one year ago on the anniversary of George Floyd’s death.

The report was published by the “Intelligencer” via the magazine on Monday. It exposes a YouTube video that purportedly shows three leaders of the social justice movement, Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza, and Melina Abdullah, all standing in front of the home in June celebrating the purchase. The video has since been made private and can no longer be viewed.

BLM reportedly tried to “kill” the story concerning the purchase of the home and hide it from journalists.

BLM officials also circulated an internal memo floating a number of responses to the media outlet’s questions concerning the purchase that ranged from “Can we kill the story?” to, “Our angle – needs to be to deflate ownership of the property,” the magazine reported.

They referred to it internally as the “complex” and an internal memo allegedly proposed that it could be used as an “influencer house” where artists would get together and collaborate.

The home is 6,500-square-feet with more than six bedrooms and bathrooms, fireplaces, a pool, and parking for more than 20 cars according to a real estate listing. It was bought in October of 2020 using funds that had been donated to the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, according to the “Intelligencer.”

A man named Dyane Pascall bought the home two weeks after the foundation received $66.5 million from its sponsor. He is the financial manager for Janaya and Patrisse Consulting. Then the ownership of the home was transferred to an LLC in Delaware shielding the owner’s identity.

Cullors purchased four expensive homes for $3.2 million. She was one of the founders of Black Lives Matter but since the revelations of her shady finances have surfaced, she has left the group, citing a desire to finish her second book and focus on a multi-year TV deal with Warner Bros. Garza and Abdullah have also left the organization.

“It’s because we’re powerful, because we are winning,” Cullors said at the time referring to the media uncovering the lavish spending, according to the New York Post. “It’s because we are threatening the establishment, we’re threatening white supremacy.”

The Southern California mansion was meant to serve as “housing and studio space” for recipients of the Black Joy Creators Fellowship, board member Shalomyah Bowers said in a statement Friday that was given to New York Magazine. She claimed that the foundation had “always planned” to disclose the home’s legal filings this May. She also contended that it does not serve as anyone’s personal residence.

“That’s a very legitimate critique,” said “Candid” cofounder Jacob Harold in an interview with the media outlet addressing criticism of the purchase. “It’s not a critique that says what you’re doing is illegal or even unethical; it might just be strategic.”

“Candid” tracks nonprofits in the U.S. Harold questioned whether the funds spent on the home could’ve been used more wisely.

“Why aren’t you spending it on policy or, you know, other strategies that an organization might take to address the core issues around Black Lives Matter?” he asked.

Bowers claims that the property was bought in “furtherance of BLM’s mission,” according to the New York Post.

“It’s a waste of resources,” Ferguson activist Tory Russell told New York Magazine.

That sentiment seems to be shared by many in the movement.

The foundation is still under investigation for misuse of funds.

  1. This BLM charity scam is a job for the states attorney’s general offices where ever they are registered as well as state revenue departments. And where is the IRS with their badges and guns? John and Jane Q Public would have been locked up long ago if they started a
    scam like this.

  2. I hope the “elite” who bought into this con feel good. Their ignorance caused many to donate their hard earned to the con. LET’S GO BRANDON! WeLoveTrump.com

  5. What did you expect from this failed race of grifters, violent criminals and parasites?

  6. It’s funny how no one ever questions just what they are referring to as “black”. Perhaps it refers to the black hearts or skin of the founders, in which case their name is quite sensible.

    1. You can take the N out of the jungle, but you can’t take the jungle out of the N.
They really are parasites. So are Mexicans and Mozlems.

  7. What did they expect from a bunch of theives? All the destruction they caused should be paid back to fix what they destroyed.

  8. BLM is a Soros Terrorist Organization obviously not very organized unless you need Riots.

  9. Why is it that they whose goal is to destroy the country from within believe they’re entitled to do it from the lap of luxury?

    1. Because a tolerant, civil society are allowing them to, so they won’t be called racist.

  10. BLM just a sophisticated form of smash and grab, these players have the same mind set and lack of morals, more than willing to screw over their own race.
