‘Who do these people think they are?’: MI candidate steals show at Trump rally over ‘insurrectionist’ tag

Kristina Karamo, a Republican hoping to oust current Democrat Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson come November, is being praised by conservatives over her “powerful” appearance at former President Donald Trump’s latest Save America rally this Saturday in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

What impressed conservatives was how she used the rare platform to stand up for those Michiganders concerned about election integrity and security. Particularly those Michiganders who’ve been smeared by Benson as “insurrectionists” for daring to raise concerns about the 2020 presidential election.

“The current office holder, whose name I won’t even say, she’s not even a Democrat — she’s an authoritarian leftist who treats the people of Michigan like the unwashed masses. Who does this woman think she is that the people of Michigan don’t have the right to question her? Who does this woman think she is that the people of Michigan don’t have the right to scrutinize the election process,” Karamo said.

“That is what happens when you have people in government who do not know and do not care about the state or the U.S. Constitution. Last time I checked, according to my First Amendment rights I have the right to redress my grievances to my government without being called an insurrectionist, without being called a ‘big lie’ proponent. Who do these people think they are? They work for us!”

To be clear, Karamo wasn’t necessarily speaking about the Trump supporters who believe he won the 2020 presidential election.

She was possibly also speaking about those conservatives, including elected Republicans, who’ve raised concerns about election integrity/security issues and argued that these concerns merit tightening up America’s elections.

Karamo’s remarks came hours after Benson not only called for consequences to be leveled against anybody who dares raise concerns about the 2020 election — even if only talking about the reported irregularities that were ignored — but also equated any questioning of America’s election processes with a “threat against democracy,” as reported by Michigan Advance.

“The threats against our democracy are truly a five-alarm fire and in that fire, Michigan is ground zero. And it’s a fire that consists of a national coordinated effort … where partisan politicians and others are lying to voters about the 2020 election results and about what’s at stake in order to carry out this national, multifaceted, multi-year, coordinated and sophisticated effort to potentially overturn the results of a legitimate presidential election or other elections,” she said.

But speaking again later during Saturday’s rally — this time with Trump standing right beside her — Karamo explained why concerns about election integrity are in fact valid, despite Benson’s claims otherwise.

The aspiring Michigan Secretary of State explained that her vote in the 2020 election had initially gone uncounted. She wound up having to file a Freedom of Information Act request to prove that she had indeed voted.

“According to the state of Michigan, I didn’t vote in the 2020 election. … That’s the most infuriating thing. Like why would I spend all that time at the TCF Center [a major convention center in Detroit], knock doors for President Trump and turn around and not vote?” she explained.

“But then I FOIA’d my application to vote, proving that I voted in the 2020 election, even though, according to the state of Michigan, I didn’t vote.”

But, she continued, not everybody has the luxury of being able to quickly file a FOIA request.

“And there are so many people across the state where, according to the secretary of state, they voted different than they actually did vote. But we’re insurrectionists, we’re traitors and ‘big lie’ proponents for asking questions,” she said.

“But then our media protects corrupt politicians and demonizes the citizens for speaking up. So I am so excited to be your next secretary of state, to make sure that no matter who you vote for, what you believe, your vote counts, and your vote isn’t nullified by an illegal ballot,” she continued.

“And I want to thank President Trump for all you’ve done for our country. And you know what else, President Trump? You inspired so many people to run for office to stand up and fight back because he cannot do it by himself. It’s an army of people across our state who are fighting back. Little MAGA warriors. And we’re getting the job done!”

According to The Guardian, Karamo has also claimed to have witnessed fraud during the night of the 2020 election.

She’s specifically claimed that, while working unofficially at the TCF Center as a poll watcher that evening, she “personally witnessed fraudulent activity in which ballots were switched illegally from Trump to Biden.”

“In it, Karamo gives her account of what she claims to have witnessed. She was standing at an ‘adjudication table’ where ballots that are incorrectly filled in are scrutinized. She spotted a ballot on the screen in which a voter appeared to have cast their ballot along straight-party lines but for both main parties,” according to The Guardian.

“Karamo says in the ‘incident report’ that she watched as a poll worker unilaterally decided to award the ballot to Biden, no questions asked. When she complained and called for a supervisor, she claims she was told not to talk to the election staff.”

I believe Americans of our foundation and past, would ignore ALL and ANY anti American values and regulations, sexually perverted, so-called education, politicians, open border, Communist agenda, until death. Death is going to come in the end anyway, and the end is coming much faster than you think or want to admit.

Honest people however, want to be double checked as their honesty and integrity shines in the darkness and hold up under testing, that they are correct. Checks and balances work. They reveal cheating. Cons hate to be exposed.

  13. President Trump nor any politician can convince me that Joe-tato legitimately won the election. Poll watchers are supposed to ensure that the votes are being counted honesty and the poll watchers were prohibited from doing their job.

  14. The January 6th protesters were called insurrectionists, yet none of them have been charged with insurrection. Lt. Michael Byrd, a capitol police bestered shot an unarmed women and MURDERED her, yet he was never charged. Why? Because he is black? Because she was a Trump supporter? Make no mistake. These people are very dangerous and anti-American. They hate us and want to destroy us and control America. They use identity and labelling to discredit anyone that stands against them. Stand against them and hold them accountable. Vote, always protect yourself, family and friends. Never give up. God bless the USA.

  15. We all saw what took place in Michigan, because it was shown on Fox!! In Detroit, legitimate poll watchers were pushed out the door, and then the windows were covered over. The “irregularities” or as I call it, CHEATING, that went on across the country was blatant, well planned out and disgusting. And to think that anyone would have questioned that? Good grief, apparently most of us are insurrectionists. I doubt old Benson even knows the meaning of the word. The way these liberals throw words around just shows that they don’t. It’s something that sounded good to them, so they keep on using it. Anyone who thinks having to show a picture I.D. to vote is “Jim Crow” has their head up their a$$. Stop listening to Biden and his cronies, as they are the ones undermining our democracy. Why do you think old Joe did little campaigning and when he did, only a handful of people showed up? The election had already been in the bag for him and he was part of it.

The “way” the state is “divided up”, CITIES” outrank “suburbs” in “gerrymander-ing. “THAT” means that “the Dems” “re-do” the maps for voting districts that FAVOR “the” Dems WITH “higher’ Dem “voters”. THESE are the “BIG” cities, like Newark, Camden, Union City, Jersey City, & I can’t “think” of any others. MOST of “N.J.” is/was rural.Today, “it’s” a lot of N.Y.’ers” fleeing to the Jersey Shore! “They” left N.Y. for a “reason”.”I” sure HOPE that it’s NOT to vote for Dems that they left N.Y. state for!

    1. Living in NJ for the last 30 years, I can attest to this! The likes of Booker and Menendez being elected over and over again! King Philip the Unaccountable being re-elected for a 2nd term when he was responsible for the deaths of thousands of the elderly in nursing homes when COVID came to call. NJ is the armpit of the U.S. Unfortunately, unlike so many, I am unable to leave this god-forsaken state because of family!

  18. Its important to constantly be aware that the dems are using the ancient tactic of "divide and rule" to set groups apart and against each other. Thus, the dems labeling their political opponents as insurrectionists puts these opponents in a very bad light, which green lights the dem true believers to say and do anything to stop them from holding office, or, any position of power.

  20. The left fights anyone who even suggests fraud occurred during the 2020 election. It’s easy to claim there is no evidence if you never bothered to look for any. Why do they go ballistic if you suggest it should be investigated? It’s because they know they’re lying. If it were really true that no fraud occurred, it seems to me they would welcome any and all investigations. It would prove their point once and for all. But there I go again, thinking logically.
