Ted Cruz on SCOTUS nomination stakes: ‘We’re one vote away from losing our fundamental rights’

Senator Ted Cruz warned of how close that Americans are to losing their “fundamental rights” as he pointed out a series of Supreme Court cases in which a razor-thin 5-4 majority has been all that stands between liberty and the aggressively transformative agenda of the fully radicalized Democratic party.

During a talk with Fox News’ host Mark Levin on the latest edition of “Life, Liberty & Levin,” the Texas Republican discussed the confirmation process of President Biden’s first SCOTUS pick, D.C. Appeals Court Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson and her ability to influence the direction of the country if she is elevated to the nation’s highest court as expected.

Levin suggested that its unlikely that the Republican Senate will be able to maintain a unified opposition against KBJ who he said is “totally predictable” and “the hard Left of the judiciary in this country,” bringing up RINO Susan Collins of Maine, a perpetual thorn in the side for conservatives who has indicated that she is likely to vote to confirm which would effectively punch the leftist ideologue’s ticket to a seat on the bench.

“Over and over again, the big landmark cases are 5-4,” Cruz told Levin. “We’re one vote away on issue after issue after issue from losing our fundamental rights.”

Cruz brought up one major example,” the landmark case upholding the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms,” referring to the 2008 ruling in the District of Columbia v. Heller which found that the United States Constitution guarantees the rights of individuals independent of a state militia to possess firearms not connected with service in a state militia for lawful purposes, including for self-defense in their home.

The 5-4 winning margin was led by  iconic conservative Justice Antonin Scalia in the majority which also included Chief Justice John Roberts who has shown a tendency to side with the court’s leftists.

According to Senator Cruz, there is a “100 percent” chance that Brown Jackson would vote to reverse that decision, delivering the goods for Democrats who are determined to disarm law-abiding Americans, he gave the same odds that she would also vote to overturn the death penalty.

“At the end of the day, when you have senators who say they don’t support abolishing the police, when you vote to confirm justices that will release violent criminals and endanger our communities, then you are supporting abolishing the police, and repealing the Second Amendment, and taking away our free speech rights, and taking away our religious liberty rights.” Cruz said.

“You are supporting that kind of radical agenda,” he added.

Cruz, who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee was one of the Republicans grilling Judge Jackson who refused to be pinned down over her views on Critical Race Theory and how the toxic, anti-white teachings would influence her judicial philosophy, catching her off guard when he produced quotes from a 2015 speech that appeared to contradict her testimony.

Cruz also applied the pressure over KBJ’s perceived leniency in sentencing perverts who exchange child pornography on the internet.

The Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to vote to advance the nomination on Monday with confirmation by the full Senate coming as soon as Thursday, a pivotal moment that could give the extreme left a foothold on the Supreme Court with her able to influence the direction of the nation for decades.

  1. The barn door got left open when this SCOTUS nominee got presented to the Senate for “its” current post. How many RINOs thought “it” was a “worthy” candidate at that time?

  2. Ketanji is a lying, duplicitous racist. If she had a picogram of integrity she would denounce and decline the nomination. But she has NO integrity. She is a Deep State SWAMP SCUM gubment “worker”. She will probably confirmed by the senate.

  3. I don’t know where Biden dug this woman up, but she has made it clear she does not, nor will she, follow the constitution. Anyone who gives this person a thumbs up has either been asleep, or agrees with her radical ideas. She isn’t fit to sit on the bench. A judge’s job is to UPHOLD the law, not make up your own. What a joke.

    1. “She” will be acceptable to the you know what half of the Senate. And we now how Kamel-A will vote.

  4. They may very well get this turd put on the bench but she will never influence the direction I intend to take

  5. Its too late, Sen. Cruz, as, Pres. Trump was duped about the stances of his SC nominees, Cavanaugh and Coney Barrett, as, theyve already chosen to side with the left on many of their rulings. So, when you add Roberts to these 2, the SC has a clear leftist majority of 5 to 3, which will become 6 to 3, when the pedophile enabler, Ketanji Brown, is soon put on the bench.
