‘Hear me now’: Embattled Greitens puts ‘disgusting cowards’ Karl Rove and Mitch McConnell on notice

Eric Greitens, who is the embattled former Republican governor of Missouri and a current U.S. Senate candidate, thrashed Republican strategist Karl Rove and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in a new campaign ad, calling them RINOs and informing them that “we are coming for you.”

Greitens came under fire last week by his opponents and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) who asserted that he should be in handcuffs following a court filing by his ex-wife who is accusing him of spousal and child abuse.

He resigned as governor in 2018 after admitting to an affair with his hairdresser. She accused him of physical and sexual abuse and attempted blackmail after taking compromising photos without her consent. Greitens has denied the allegations and claims the interactions were consensual.

The New York Times is reporting that McConnell privately told his colleagues that the GOP “caught a break” with new allegations against Greitens. It is being alleged that McConnell is worried about Greitens becoming the nominee because he is ostensibly the weakest candidate to replace retiring Sen. Roy Blunt (R) in the November general midterm election.

In his ad on Friday, Greitens did not hold back and called both McConnell and Rove “disgusting cowards.”

“I wanna tell you directly, Karl Rove and Mitch McConnell. Hear me now. You are disgusting cowards and we are coming for you. We are no longer going to allow you – not just to attack me and attack my kids, but to destroy this country, and that’s what you’re doing. You’re making life hard for millions of families around this country by cooperating with the left, by stabbing President Trump in the back, by stabbing the people of America in the back, and we’re not gonna stand for it anymore,” he proclaimed.

“Know this. the freedom wing of the Republican Party, true patriots, true conservatives, we are coming for you. And we’re not just taking back our party, we’re taking back our country. We see your game, we see your lies, but we also know this: that at the end of the day, truth prevails,” Greitens warned.

He also claims that Rove knew in advance that his ex-wife was going to accuse him of abuse, according to Breitbart News. He asserted it’s part of a campaign to push him out of the race in Missouri. Rove denies the accusation.

Greitens pointed out that this all happened during the same week that William Tisaby, a former FBI agent who was reportedly hired by a Soros-funded prosecutor to investigate him in 2018, pled guilty after facing a number of felony charges, including perjury and evidence tampering.

“So I ask you is it any coincidence that in this very week, in this very week, RINOs come out with a brand new set of wild accusations against me, which they claim are from four years ago?” Greitens said. “It’s obviously nonsense.”

“Number one. All of these accusations are written, notarized, and distributed to the press in Washington, DC, while I was with my boys,” he charged.

“Number two, we now know that Karl Rove was directly involved in this, Karl Rove the mastermind of RINO dirty tricks,” accused Greitens. “And number three, we now know that they took all of these accusations and they handed them directly to people who work for Mitch McConnell’s Senate Leadership Fund.”
