‘The GayBCs,’ ‘Gender Queer,’ and a very angry school mom: ‘Yes, they’re coming for your kids’

With credible claims from Republican lawmakers that Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson is soft on child porn convictions, the uproar over Florida’s Parental Rights in Education legislation, and a now-viral video of a Georgia mom calling out her school board for inappropriate books in the high school library, the issue of “grooming” young children with sexually explicit materials has taken center stage in many online debates.

In a recent Twitter thread and subsequent op-ed piece entitled, “Yes, they’re coming for your kids,” journalist Michael More detailed the plot of an extremely graphic graphic novel called Gender Queer: A Memoir, written by Maia Kobabe and marketed to young adults.

Warning: We’re not joking when we say this thread is incredibly explicit, so we’re only going to provide a link to it here. Viewer discretion is STRONGLY advised. You can return to this post after reading.

“Erotic. Gay. Fanfiction. With Friends,” wrote More. “In a book depicting — heck, marketed to — kids.”

“As I thumbed through the pages, I went from mere eyerolls to my heart dropping into my stomach,” More continued. “The text on the page does not need some deep analysis. The whole thing should just be burned. It’s just that disturbing.”

Twitchy, which spotlights all the tweets people are talking about, has highlighted an equally disturbing thread from another Twitter user, the “UnWokable” J. Mark Ousley, who takes followers on a mortifying walk through “The GayBCs,” a book that is meant for the very age group Florida’s falsely-dubbed “Don’t Say Gay” bill seeks to protect.

“When they say ‘Say Gay’ it’s not all they want to say,” tweeted Ousley. “Here is everything they want to teach kindergarteners (5yo) – 3rd graders (8yo).”

In the reimagined “ABCs” by M. L. Webb, “B,” for example, is now for “BI.”

“You can shout it out loud: ‘I like boys and girls, and that makes me proud!” the book enthusiastically states.

Where “D” once stood for “Dog,” man’s best friend has now been replaced by RuPaul.

“‘D’ is for DRAG,” according to the GayBCs. “You can strut and dance in clothes that you love: dresses, heels, or pants!”

“I” isn’t for “ice-cream” anymore, it’s for “INTERSEX,” because “Some are born with the parts of both a boy and a girl,” and “Bodies are a work of art!”

This goes on for all 26 letters of the alphabet.

And in case you think kids aren’t really reading this monstrosity, just check out this YouTube video, posted to channel of the St. Louis Public Library:

Or this video of a toddler reciting the GayBCs, recorded by a proud Liberal parent:

And then consider the words of the Georgia mom in the clip above, who was silenced by a school board member for being “inappropriate” after she read from a book available high school students in her district: “All this happened under your watch. Maybe if you spent more time reading these books instead of calculating the statistical demographics of those submitting the books, you wouldn’t be grooming our children.”
