In a ghastly incident that is perhaps yet another example of the random coarseness of everyday life in Democrat-controlled cities, two men were caught on surveillance video allegedly allowing their dogs to maul a family cat who was sitting on a porch.
The alleged gruesome animal abuse occurred Tuesday morning on Granite Street in northeast Philadelphia’s Frankford neighborhood. The suspects in the attack on Buddy the cat are still at large.
“They intentionally let go of the dogs and started cheering as the animals mauled the screeching cat, authorities said. At one point, one of the men repeatedly shouted ‘Get him’ and ‘Good boy’ before grabbing hold of the leashes,” the New York Post claimed.
A homeowner appears to subsequently intervene in the encounter in the 40-second video clip that is partially blurred out apparently because of its graphic nature.
In a Twitter thread that included the disturbing footage, the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals noted that Buddy received treatment for life-threatening injuries at a local animal hospital.

The organization is requesting the public’s help in identifying the dog-walking duo allegedly involved who are presumed to live in the general area.
“The two men, if found, face felony charges of animal fighting and animal cruelty that could result in up to seven years behind bars, the SPCA said,” the Post added.
“Putting an animal on another animal for amusement is considered animal fighting so that would be a felony under that,” Nicole Wilson, the PSPCA’s director of Humane Law Enforcement, said. “There are additional statutes surrounding abusing an animal and causing serious bodily injury which is obvious that Buddy suffered severe bodily injury. That’s also a felony.”
Buddy reportedly suffered extensive damage to his abdomen and may require multiple surgeries before he can get back on his feet. He reportedly was transferred to a specialized animal hospital where he is receiving around-the-clock care
Vets who initially performed an ultrasound and took X-rays indicated that his back was not broken, raising the possibility of a full recovery.
As the attack continued, a person or persons can be heard on the video encouraging the dogs to continue attacking the cat until a resident of the property comes out to intervene on behalf of the cat.

According to Pennsylvania SPCA CEO Julie Klim, “This act of cruelty is especially heinous for its apparent intentional nature. An innocent animal simply sitting on a porch may lose its life for absolutely no reason. Animals are beloved members of our family, and should be treated as such. We are pleading with anyone who has information to please contact our cruelty department.”

George Soros-backed District Attorney Larry Krasner is the official in charge of prosecuting, or not prosecuting, crime in Philadelphia.
All suspects are presumed innocent until or unless they are convicted in a court of law of any alleged crimes.
In a hopeful PSPCA update, the organization said that Buddy remains in extremely critical condition, but caregivers are cautiously optimistic.
BUDDY UPDATE: Last night, Buddy was sent to an ER vet to be closely monitored. He made it through the night. He continues to be in extremely critical condition.
