A Pennsylvania woman who killed two state troopers and a pedestrian who they were helping when she mowed them down while driving drunk has been charged with multiple felonies that could keep her off of the road for a very long time.
On Tuesday, 21-year-old Jayana Tanae Webb was charged with 18 crimes including third-degree murder, homicide by vehicle, manslaughter of a law enforcement officer, involuntary manslaughter, recklessly endangering another person and driving under the influence for the incident that occurred early Monday morning.
The lives of the troopers, 29-year-old Branden Sisca and 33-year-old Martin Mack III were brought to a premature end as they were assisting a man on I-95 near the Philadelphia sports complex when they were struck by the drunken Webb who recently boasted that she was the “best drunk driver ever” on a social media account that is believed to be hers.
According to a report from Fox 29 Philadelphia, “Troopers Mack and Sisca had responded to a call for a person walking on the left side of the southbound lanes and had made contact with the man on the roadway. The troopers were taking the man into custody and walking him back to their state police SUV.”
“As all three men were walking back to the police vehicle, authorities say Webb was traveling at a high rate of speed in the left lane and struck all three men, the patrol vehicle, and the barrier between the north and southbound lanes. The impact of the crash knocked both troopers into the northbound lanes and ripped both driver’s side doors off of their SUV,” the outlet reported.
Also killed was 28-year-old Reyes Rivera Oliveras.

In a tragic twist to the terrible story, “A law enforcement source tells FOX 29’s Steve Keeley that state police had conducted a traffic stop involving the striking vehicle shortly before the crash. They say that stop was cut short because troopers were responding to reports of pedestrian walking on I-95.”
A sobbing Webb was escorted away from the police barracks wearing handcuffs belonging to the troopers that she killed.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police’s website, “Our department is heartbroken with the tragedy that occurred early this morning in Philadelphia,” said Colonel Evanchick. “We ask our fellow Pennsylvanians to keep the families of our troopers and the pedestrian in their thoughts. This is an extremely difficult time.”

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has ordered the commonwealth flag on all commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds fly at half-staff in a tribute to the two fallen officers.
“This is a heartbreaking tragedy that occurred while these troopers were protecting and serving,” Wolf said. “This mournful incident is a stark reminder of the risks—and sacrifices—our law enforcement officers undertake every day to keep us safe. My heart goes out to their families and the communities they lived in and served.”
