Disney brand employees staged nationwide walkouts over the so-called “Don’t Say Gay” bill in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community despite the fact that the Florida “Parental Rights in Education” bill is actually aimed at keeping small children from being exposed to explicit adult topics.

“The recent statements by The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) leadership regarding the Florida legislature’s recent ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill have utterly failed to match the magnitude of the threat to LGBTQIA+ safety represented by this legislation,” an open letter from Disney employees reads, according to NBC News.

“Primarily, those statements have indicated that leadership still does not truly understand the impact this legislation is having not only on Cast Members in the state of Florida, but on all members of the LGBTQIA+ community in the company and beyond,” the letter continued.

“We have been forced into an impossible and unsustainable position. We must now take action to convince TWDC to protect employees and their families in the face of such open and unapologetic bigotry,” it goes on to assert.

Statements were issued on Tuesday by many of Disney’s biggest brands supporting the walkouts, including the Walt Disney Company, FX, Hulu, and ESPN. The Walt Disney Company is made up of Disney Corporate, Disney Television Animation, Lucasfilm, Pixar, Disney Media and Entertainment Distribution, Disney Streaming, Enterprise Finance, Enterprise Technology/Global Information Security, and Bento Box.

Disney-owned Marvel has also issued a statement condemning the bill, stating, “Today, we pledge to continue our strong commitment as allies who promote the values of equality, acceptance and respect.”

Disney CEO Bob Chapek has previously apologized to LGBTQ+ employees for not being a “stronger ally” in standing against the bill even though what it entails is not teaching sex-related subjects to very young children in school. Many parents don’t want transgenderism and gay issues pushed on elementary-aged students. Chapek has vowed to halt all political donations in Florida to conservatives over the issue.

The CEO’s attempt at placating the woke mob was not enough. Now they reportedly want him booted from Disney.

“[The Walt Disney Company] must reaffirm the company’s commitment to protecting and advocating for its LGBTQIA+ staff, even in the face of political risk,” read the statement from employees.

“[The Walt Disney Company] must take responsibility for their inaction to protect the rights of LGBTQIA+ children and their families by making substantial contributions to The Trevor Project and other human rights advocacy groups in an effort to regain our trust in the company’s inclusion and equality effort,” it added in extortive terms.

The bill passed before Chapek prostrated himself in front of LGBTQ groups. It prohibits teachers and staff from teaching topics such as sexual orientation or gender identity to students in kindergarten through the third grade. The bill gives parents further access to their children’s education and health records. It also makes way for parents to sue their child’s school district if they believe the policy is violated.

The leftists are enraged over it but Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) has signaled that he will sign the bill into law.

“When you have companies that have made a fortune off being family-friendly and catering to families and young kids, they should understand that parents of young kids do not want this injected into their kid’s kindergarten classroom,” DeSantis told reporters earlier this month.

“You have companies, like at Disney, that are going to say and criticize parents’ rights, they’re going to criticize the fact that we don’t want transgenderism in kindergarten in first grade classrooms,” he added.

DeSantis went on to blast Disney for refusing to condemn human rights abuses in China, where the entertainment giant does a great deal of business, adding, “in Florida, our policies got to be based on the best interest of Florida citizens, not on the musings of woke corporations.”

Disney affiliations that support the walkout are numerous.

  1. Disneyland is the modern day Titanic. The ice berg has torn into the water proof compartment . They were going too too fast into the night, filled with beneath the surface icebergs. They were not equipped for the sinking. Not enough life boats for all to be saved. They will be swallowed up by the icy sea. It’s an age old story. The sinking of the Disneyland, “ that God himself could not sink”.

  2. Anything Disney is now disgusting. It should be renamed pedophilia land. It’s a sinking ship, and it will go full speed into an iceberg and will go down into icy seas. It will be pieced out and sold at auction for rock bottom prices. Sell Disney stock now.
