Author Nikole Hannah-Jones, who won a grossly unmerited Pulitzer Prize for Commentary for “The 1619 Project,” evidently likes to be seen with her crowning achievement when she travels, even though her book has been cast aside by historians as a bastardization of American history.

Always think before you tweet would be a good mantra for Jones to recite to herself going forward, but she couldn’t resist the temptation to snap a photo while on a Delta flight that compared her neighbor’s seatback contents to her own.

“My seat mate and I: Shall we call this @Delta paired texts?” she tweeted.

Her seatmate appeared to be reading Miranda Devine’s book “Laptop from Hell: Hunter Biden, Big Tech, and the Dirty Secrets the President Tried to Hide,” and Julie Kelly’s book “January 6: How Democrats Used the Capitol Protest to Launch a War on Terror Against the Political Right.”

He clearly has much better taste and a better sense of humor considering the tacit contempt Jones had for his clever face covering.

The Federalist CEO Sean Davis was the first to point out that she brought her own book on the plane; a book of posits which, incidentally, The Federalist roundly debunked in a review they published in 2021.

“Of course, she flies around with her own book. Of course, she does,” he tweeted.

Newsmax correspondent Logan Ratick inquired, “Are you reading your own book?”

X Strategies senior digital strategist Greg Price also found it curious.

“Do you bring your own book with you everywhere you go?” he asked of Jones.

Jones responded to Young, saying, “I bring my book to book talks? Yes, yes, I do, Tim. Shall I recite my book from memory at events?”

“Some of you are really surprised that authors who do book talks carry their books with them? Tell me you’ve never published a book without telling me you’ve never published a book,” Jones also tweeted.

Conservative author of Late Republic Nonsense, David Reaboi, said, “The person reading @julie_kelly2’s great book is rolling their eyes.”

Author of one of the books in question, Julie Kelly herself got in on the fun and responded to Reaboi, tweeting “I’m on a plane right now too and I ALWAYS put my book in the pouch in front of me. You know, just in case I’m recognized.”

She tagged fellow author Devine as both of their books were being read by Jones’ higher-functioning seatmate.

Hey @julie_kelly2Someone has good taste on Delta!” Kelly responded, “Well, at least one person.”
