Voters show support for Ukraine, but no bump for Biden polls show

President Joe Biden hasn’t seen a major bump in his poll numbers since the beginning of the Russian invasion, indicating that although Americans support the Ukrainians, domestic issues such as skyrocketing gas prices and rampant inflation are tanking approval ratings and support for him.

A number of recent polls show that Biden is getting good marks for his handling of the Ukraine crisis and his efforts to smack Russia for its aggressive moves against the country. But that tentative approval is being vastly overshadowed by strong disapproval on the domestic front which potentially spells disaster for Democrats in the midterm elections this November.

A Wall Street Journal poll that came out Friday shows 50 percent of voters in its survey approve of Biden’s stance against Russia, while 47 percent approve of his handling of the Ukraine crisis.

Unfortunately for Biden, those numbers did not improve his overall rating which is stalled at 42 percent in the Journal poll and is trending much lower than that in others. Most of the president’s poll problem is due to 63 percent of voters not caring for his handling of the inflation emergency that is enveloping the nation due to liberal policies.

The leftish Navigator Research poll that came out last week similarly found that 59 percent of voters approve of Biden’s handling of Ukraine. Once again, however, his overall rating is at 43 percent in this poll, which many consider overly optimistic.

A CBS poll, which continues the trend through leftist media, showed on Sunday that Biden’s actions concerning the war in Ukraine are popular despite the bite of out-of-control gas prices at home and other consequences Americans are experiencing as well that impact their wallets and lifestyle.

According to that poll, 77 percent support banning Russian oil, and 66 percent support the move even if it means even higher gas prices. Many contend that those numbers are definitely not representative of mainstream America. The poll contends that sixty-two percent are steadfastly against establishing a no-fly zone if it means the war will expand and possibly morph into WWIII.

Biden has done his level best to blame exploding gas prices on Putin and the war in Ukraine. However, most Americans are aware enough to realize that gas prices started their upward trajectory the minute Biden took office and began pushing a green agenda. Nevertheless, the propaganda out of the White House is using tag lines such as “Putin price hike.”

Americans don’t seem to be buying it and the polls reflect that as inflation gallops away full speed. A record-high of 70 percent of voters now disapproves of Biden’s response to inflation, according to an ABC News/Ipsos poll.

The survey also found the same percentage of respondents are unhappy with how Biden is handling gas prices, with 70 percent saying they disapprove of how the president is addressing the problem, compared to 28 percent who approve.

“Make no mistake, the current spike in gas prices is largely the fault of Vladimir Putin. It has nothing to do with the American Rescue Plan,” Biden disingenuously told attendees of the National League of Cities Congressional City Conference on Monday, according to The Hill.

The Democrats and Biden’s advisors delusionally believe he will see a bump in the coming weeks even as gas becomes so expensive many Americans can no longer afford to fill up their tanks.

“I do think our approval rating will go up in the months ahead as the economic recovery and the progress on COVID become more permanent, more lasting and internalized more by the voters,” White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain told the Economic Club of Washington, DC, earlier in March bringing his mental stability into serious doubt.

Biden is relentless in insisting his American Rescue Plan has been successful and transformative for the economy, all realistic evidence to the contrary.

He peddled his revisionist reality to Senate Democrats, House Democrats, and the Democratic National Committee last week. Biden made an appearance at a fundraiser on Monday night and is reportedly set to hit the campaign trail in an effort to help Democrats’ chances in the midterms, hoping and praying his approval rating recovers, which seems highly unlikely.

“Coming out of the State of the Union — why I think we’re in a strong position — we have a record to be proud of, an agenda that will lower costs for American families and lift this nation up, and a message that resonates,” Biden laughably told House Democrats on Friday. “We’re building a better America, a fairer America, a more decent America.”

Another poll by Schoen Cooperman Research shows that the Democratic Party is perceived by voters as being both ineffective and out of touch. This further indicates that Democrats are going to get thrashed in the midterm elections, according to The Hill.
