During a rally this Saturday in South Carolina, former President Donald Trump contrasted his fearsome personality with that of President Joe Biden, whom he described as “physically and mentally challenged.”
He specifically made the case that it was his toughness and ferocity that had kept the United States out of war for four straight years.
“Under my leadership, America was feared by our enemies, and we were respected by all,” he said, adding that the results he’d produced were the exact opposite of what the “fake news” had predicted for him.
“The fake news said my personality would get us into a war: ‘I’m telling you, that guy’s gonna get us into a war.’ But actually, my personality is what kept us out of war,” the former president explained.
“I was the only president in nearly four decades who did not get America into any new conflicts. Instead I brought our troops and our wonderful children back home. I brought them back home where they belong.”
Both Democrats and their media allies had constantly predicted that he’d push America into a war.
“This is not someone who should ever have the nuclear codes, because it’s not hard to imagine Donald Trump leading us into a war just because somebody got under his very thin skin,” failed 2016 Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said in the months leading up to the 2016 election.

Three years later, The Washington Post ran a piece suggesting that the then-president might “start a war to boost his 2020 chances.”
Continuing his remarks Saturday, the former president said that “under Joe Biden, America is neither feared nor respected.”
“There has never been a time where our country has been treated the way it is. Right now other countries are lecturing us and telling us what to do. And that’s why we are seeing chaos and mayhem and bloodshed all over the world.”
He also briefly took a shot at war-hungry “Republicans” like Liz Cheney.
“Meanwhile, you have warmongers like this crazy Liz Cheney nutjob and Adam Kinzinger … and the other neocons who have never found a war that they did not want,” he said.
“They don’t mind our soldiers and other people and other soldiers from other countries dying. They don’t think about that. In the name of democracy, they destroyed Syria, Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan. I brought our soldiers back home.”
Returning to the topic of Biden again, Biden described the current president as “physically and mentally challenged.”
“We have a president representing our country at the most important time in history who’s physically and mentally challenged,” he said.
Listen:
Zeroing in on the crisis in Ukraine, he added that Biden still has enough time to stop the United States from entering into World War III.
“Despite all of Biden’s weakness, cowardice and incompetence, there is still a path for him to end this tragedy in Ukraine without getting America ensnared in a gruesome and very bloody war. By the way, this could lead to World War III. … Because if you think Putin’s going to stop, it’s going to get worse and worse. He’s not going to accept it,” Trump said.
“And we don’t have anybody to talk to him. You had somebody to talk to him with me. Nobody was ever tougher on Russia than me. I’m the one that stopped the pipeline. I’m the one that put all the sanctions on. And I’m the one that he didn’t attack during our administration.”
The left-wing establishment press has already pushed back on this claim, arguing that “Biden has levied harsh sanctions against Russia and this week announced a ban on Russian oil, natural gas and coal imports,” as reported by The Hill.
But unlike Trump, the current president imposed these sanctions after the fact. Moreover, when Biden took office in early 2021, he reversed some of his predecessor’s most important sanctions on Russia.

The former president continued by outlining his plan for ending the ongoing conflict overseas.
“The U.S. must make clear to Putin that he has two choices: to negotiate peace right now, or else face blistering consequences, including a push to permanently eliminate dependence on Russian energy. And we’re talking about forever, or for a long, long time, because without the money coming in from energy, Russia doesn’t work,” he said.
However, he noted that the second option would only work if the current president gave up his “ridiculous war on American energy.”
Biden is ostensibly trying to ween America off Russian oil/gas at this very moment, but the plan’s backfiring and triggering skyrocketing gas prices because of his war on traditional energy.
