Violent crime continues to plague New York City despite a recent change in leadership and in the latest bloody incident, a deranged man stabbed two employees at the Museum of Modern Art after he was denied entrance over prior incidences of disorderly conduct.

The action went down on Saturday afternoon when the man jumped over the front desk, pulled out a knife and proceeded to stab the two employees in a terrifying example of how the safety of Big Apple residents is in constant danger as the series of spontaneous attacks by lunatics and criminal miscreants continues unabated.

The perp, who has been identified as 60-year-old Gary Cabana, a museum regular whose pass had been revoked the previous day over causing repeated disturbances, became irate after being denied entrance to the building when he was reportedly trying to see a film, leading to his storming of the counter, according to the New York Post.

Surveillance cameras captured the harrowing incident that sent museumgoers into a panic and the two victims of his rampage to Bellevue Hospital where they were treated for their injuries, both had been stabbed repeated times in the back.

According to a New York Post report, “police initially believed that Cabana was “hiding in the museum. The building was evacuated but a police search came up empty. He was subsequently seen on video recordings leaving the building, said John Miller, NYPD deputy commissioner of Intelligence and Counterterrorism.”

“Miller said the man presented a membership card and tried to get into the building, but was denied entry because his membership had been revoked”, the outlet reported. “His membership was nixed as a result of two separate incidents involving disorderly conduct at the museum in recent days, Miller said, adding, “A letter revoking his membership went out yesterday, and he showed up today with the intention of attending the film that was being played.”

“He became upset about not being allowed entrance and then jumped over the reception desk and proceeded to attack and stab two employees of the museum multiple times,” according to the NY Post, “A 24-year-old woman was stabbed twice in the back and once in the neck, cops said. The 24-year-old male victim was stabbed in the collarbone, according to police”

The New York Police Department put out a wanted alert for Cabana who fled the scene and remained at large.

The MoMA, a popular attraction located in midtown Manhattan was evacuated remained closed after the stabbings while police conducted a search for evidence.

“Miller said the man is under investigation for two prior incidents in Midtown, which he did not detail. “That’s how he’s known to the department,” he said. “Beyond that, he does not have an extensive record or any arrest record that we are aware,” the New York post reported.

New York’s Democrat Mayor Eric Adams, a retired police officer who ran on a message of restoring law and order to the streets in the aftermath of the disastrous reign of Bill de Blasio has his work cut out for him with the city’s crime problem completely out of control as criminals and lunatics continue to run amok.
