Beto O’Rourke conveniently distances himself from CRT, but Twitter won’t be fooled

Democrats may be about to truly pay the price for their wholehearted embrace of the toxic teachings of Critical Race Theory and, with backlash on the way at the ballot box, it’s probably only a matter of time until some begin to put some distance between themselves and the virulently anti-white dogma.

One of the first rats to break for the lifeboats is Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke, the quirky former congressman who is running to replace incumbent Republican Governor Greg Abbott this November as his party pursues its longtime dream of turning the deeply conservative red state blue.

The failed U.S. Senate and presidential candidate caught the attention of Abbott’s campaign when on Friday during a town hall in Victoria, TX he flip-flopped on CRT, saying that he didn’t think that it should be taught in schools, an indication of how radioactive it has become as more and more Americans have become aware of what it really is.

It isn’t the first time that O’Rourke has reversed course after sensing a shift in the political winds; he also flip-flopped on gun confiscation which he had called for on numerous occasions.

Some were quick to point out how O’Rourke’s remarks are an acknowledgment of just how damaging that CRT has become to Democrats as well as a winning issue for the GOP.

Others were skeptical that O’Rourke’s position will be permanent and, like Joe Biden, he is just presenting himself as a “moderate” to dupe swing voters.

Considering that O’Rourke is already a two-time loser, it will likely take more than a deathbed conversion on CRT for a man who would be the poster boy for white privilege if it actually existed to end up in the governor’s mansion in the Lone Star State.
