Former President Donald Trump told Fox News in an interview that President Joe Biden is “letting the radical climate extremists run our country while the world burns,” as gas prices skyrocket, hitting a new record high after the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
“Energy prices are skyrocketing — they are going to infinity, all because of Joe Biden,” Trump lamented.
Gas prices across the nation are now well above $4 a gallon and in California, prices go much higher than that according to AAA. Many Americans can suddenly no longer afford to fill their tank so they can go to work and go about their daily lives. The rise in prices began when Biden took office, but when war broke out and the president banned Russian oil, they really took off.
“This was a war that should have never happened,” Trump stated during the Fox News interview. “There is no way Putin would have done it if I were president.”
The average American family saved $2,500 a year in lower energy costs under President Trump.
Under Joe Biden, skyrocketing gas prices will cost the average American family an extra $2,000.

Although Biden proclaims that he is doing everything he can to reduce gas prices, he is being shredded on both sides of the political aisle for the cost of petrol. Many are calling for him to open up oil and gas drilling once again in the U.S. Instead, Biden is tapping the strategic reserves in a time of war. The move will have a negligible effect on gas prices and arguably puts the nation at risk. He is also courting American enemies such as Venezuela and Iran while crawling to the Saudis for more oil.
“We have the oil under our feet, liquid gold,” Trump remarked. “But instead, we are thinking of buying oil from Venezuela, Iran, and others who do not exactly love America.”
“Joe Biden is letting the radical climate extremists run our country, while the world burns,” the former president bluntly charged. “Everyone is suffering because our leaders have no idea what they are doing.”
“Bring back American energy independence and American dominance,” Trump urged.
The Biden regime can lie and spin and lie and spin till the cows come home – but none of this utter disaster was happening under Trump.

Instead of taking responsibility for any of the chaos Biden’s green agenda is causing, the president is putting all the blame for rising gas prices on Russian President Vladimir Putin. The hashtag #PutinPriceHike was even started to deflect blame on the issue as Biden claims that he will do all he can to shield Americans from “pain at the pump.” Americans appear to not be buying it.
For months Putin has been saber-rattling, and for months gas prices have been going up – up 75 cents since he began his military build-up.
This is the #PutinPriceHike in action, and @POTUS is going to use every tool at his disposal to shield Americans from pain at the pump.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki is adamantly telling everyone who will listen that the Keystone XL pipeline is a no-go.
“If we’re trying to bring about more supply that does not address any problem,” she asserted during a briefing. “The pipeline is just a delivery mechanism – it’s not an oil field, so it does not provide more supply into the system.”
“There’s no plans for that, and it would not address any of the problems we’re having currently,” Psaki said regarding restarting the pipeline.
Fox News' Peter Doocy: "Is it possible that Joe Biden will ever say you guys can go ahead with construction of Keystone XL pipeline?"

Biden defensively claimed this week that it’s “not true” that his administration is holding back domestic energy production and then warned that gas prices will “go up further” from their current record levels. Then he continued to push renewable energy.
When asked what he was going to do about gas prices, Biden again blamed Putin, “Can’t do much right now. Russia is responsible.”
In a different interview with Fox News in February after Russia invaded Ukraine, Trump predicted the invasion could lead to “world war.”

“Thousands of people, I mean, this can lead to much bigger than this one area,” Trump stated. “This could lead to a lot of other countries and can lead to world war.”
“You never know how it starts, in a world war,” he contended. “You never think a war is going to come out of it. All of a sudden, you end up in a world war.”
“This is a very dangerous period for our nation, for the country,” he concluded.
I didn’t realize how competent Trump was until Biden became President.
