“Squad” member Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) hypocritically spent thousands in taxpayers’ funds on private security while advocating to defund the police, according to a Statement of Disbursements obtained from House of Representatives records.

The Daily Caller got a hold of the records and has been hot on Pressley’s heels for security spending since April 2021. Other “Squad” members have also doled out thousands for private security to watch their backs while calling for Americans to be stripped of the same type of protection.

Pressley reportedly forked over $63,000 of her Member Representational Allowance (MRA) on “security service” in 2021. That breaks down to $28,000 between Oct. 1, 2021, and Dec. 31, 2021, and $35,000 between May 2021 and August 2021.

The purported recipient of the funds was evidently Alisa Tatarian, who is a financial administrator at the U.S. House of Representatives. There are few details on how the money was actually spent. It was designated as being spent on “security service” according to The Daily Caller.

“The Member’s Representational Allowance (MRA) is intended for individual member offices’ expenditures and receipts during a single legislative year. The MRA is funded through fiscal year appropriations and authorized annually by the Committee on House Administration (CHA). It is non-transferable between legislative years,” the House website contends.

The Daily Caller was told by a GOP source that a financial administrator is in charge of disbursing funds and getting reimbursements for members of Congress. That means it is highly unlikely that Pressley actually paid Tatarian herself for the services. It is far more likely that she listed her name to adhere to the disbursement process.

Republican New York Rep. Elise Stefanik blasted the “Squad” member in a statement given to The Daily Caller, asserting that Pressley wants police protection for herself but not so much for Americans in general.

“Ayanna Pressley and her fellow Squad members have repeatedly called for our police to be defunded while simultaneously paying top dollar for their own private security with taxpayer funds. All while violent crime rates are surging across our cities. Pressley and the rest of the Squad want police for them but not for us. Democrats are the party of elitist hypocrites and defunding the police. The American people know this, and that is why this November there will be a red tsunami,” the House GOP Chairwoman predicted.

Pressley told TIME in 2020 that she supports defunding police departments, declaring it is “about the investment in our communities which have historically been divested from.”

She is also notably calling for the end of “qualified immunity” for police according to ABC News, which makes police vulnerable to specious career-ending lawsuits, not to mention the possibility of being imprisoned for doing their jobs.

The leftist’s hypocritical “security for me, but not for thee” has not gone unnoticed:
