Earlier last week, a Trafalgar Group poll produced some thought-provoking numbers. While 55% of America disapproves of Justin Trudeau’s response to the Canadian Freedom convoy, 65% of Democrats in the United States approve of the prime minister’s methodology.
Now, American truckers are commencing with their own convoy. It started in Barstow, California and will conclude in Washington, D.C. The president has already been addressed. The objective is clear: “Remove all sanctions, return freedoms and basic civil liberties, previously taken for granted.”
There is faint hope that a rapidly declining Joe Biden will do as he has done in Ukraine: Retreat with his tail between his legs! Or so, neocons say. Smart money suggests that Biden has never been in control.
Most disquieting is the fact that two-thirds of American Democrats are a-OK with Trudeau’s actions. Two recent polls had noted that 18% of Americans held Marxist inclinations. To put it bluntly, “almost one-fifth of Americans are Communists!” The Trafalgar Group poll confirms this.
You can see where Canadian lines are being drawn. From Manitoba west and Quebec east, it is increasingly apparent that Canada’s destiny may ultimately begin and end with Ontario: “An insignificant nuisance nation about the size of Texas and Montana combined, with a population that is comparable to Pennsylvania, that embraces top-down government tyranny.”
The Ottawa mayor called for impounding all trucker rigs and selling them at auction! A single woman had her bank account frozen because she donated $50 to the convoy cause. Trudeau’s heavy-handed approach is eerily reminiscent of a frequently used explanation given in communist countries: “Defending the revolution.” It amounts to “an all-powerful federal government crushing any and all dissent.”
Most disturbing of all is the fact that Joe Biden has encouraged and applauded Trudeau’s antics. Behold the unveiling of today’s Democrat Party!
Members of the Republican leadership are currently licking their chops! As Biden’s approval ratings continue their downward spiral, visions of a 1994 Congressional wipeout look increasingly ominous for Democrats. There are others including conservative podcaster, David Fernandez (Nino’s Corner) who insist that “2020 must be fixed before we can focus on 2022, let alone 2024!”
Fernandez is not alone in his assertion.
MyPillow owner, Mike Lindell spent millions gaining what he considered undeniable proof that the CCP and others had inserted an algorithm in the Dominion voting machines which both added votes for Biden and switched Trump votes to Biden. Democrats and their corporate media allies scoffed at the notion, as they did the alleged millions of other discrepancies and irregularities associated with mail-in and drop-off ballots.
The Supreme Court rationalized that Texas, Florida and 19 other states “did not have standing” when they asked that the election results be reviewed. Never mind that these states considered their citizens disenfranchised!
Even Fox News turned on their friends, seeming to proffer horrifically slanted pre-election polls and early swing state election calls!
Americans and Canadians have evidently seen enough! A wave of seething anger continues to build as they watch gasoline and food prices soar. The argument that America was hit with “cyber and biological” attacks at the hands of the CCP is now accepted by more than Alt-righters. That Biden himself was a “Manchurian” candidate, installed by the “deep state” makes more sense with each passing day.
At first glance, one might think that Biden’s response would mirror Trudeau’s. There is one big difference, as emphatically stated by Bill Maher. “Red America is not only armed, but they know how to use those arms. Blue America definitely doesn’t want that kind of confrontation.”
It’s a sobering thought, but likely accurate. As Maher surmised, a “mano v mano for the whole enchilada” would almost certainly result in the annihilation, if not extermination of the American left.
At one point, Barack Obama hinted that if America decided to go to war with itself, summoning the United Nations for help might be an option. Six weeks ago, Vladimir Putin closed that door with his promise to oppose “wokism.” Russia sits on the UN Security Council and holds veto power. In essence, an American left appeal for help would be answered by “nyet!”
Have we gone that far? Hopefully not, but there is a long way to go if we are going to avoid what could ultimately be the most ruthless episode in world history. Three options are rapidly revealing themselves.
The first option is to revisit the 2020 election. Republican leadership believes that this will not happen. “Old Crows” like Mitch McConnell are too enmeshed in the system. “Young Turks” such as Tom Cotton of Arkansas are now seen by his constituents as “sold out.” GOP operative Rhonna McDaniel has urged President Trump to “let it go.”
These Republicans’ answer is simply, “let’s get ’em in ’22!”
New voting integrity laws are a logical route, except for the time required to implement. A lot of Republicans believe the key rests with “winning secretary of state and attorney general races in swing states in the upcoming midterms.” At that point, the 2020 election could be overturned. After all, there is no statute of limitations where fraud is involved. Proving fraud is another thing, however!
Meanwhile, gas and food prices spike and civil liberties are trampled. Patience does come with limits! Eventually, it comes down to the realization that there “are a lot more of us than them.” Trucker convoys in Canada and the U.S. emphasize that their demonstrations are both peaceful and legal. Unfortunately, their governments don’t see it that way.
Thomas Jefferson’s famous proclamation of “when people fear government, you have tyranny, yet when government fears the people, you have liberty,” is manifested. This would translate to “the only good Communist is a dead one.”
Even more dangerous is “the citizen who doesn’t recognize Communism, defaulting into supporting it, subsequently subjecting themselves to “sheeple service” to the government.!” Alarming numbers of “twenty-something” Americans are unknowingly being herded into this bucket. This, itself, is another topic for a different post.
It’s too bad that there is so little interest in finding a middle ground.
