‘Traitor! Traitor! Traitor!’ Mike Lindell, CPAC crowd turn on CBS reporter engaged in ‘gotcha’ journalism

An overmatched CBS reporter bit off more that he could chew when he sought to pull a fast one on businessman and die-hard Trump supporter Mike Lindell at the CPAC conference in Orlando, Fla., and patriotic Americans are cheering his brutal humiliation.

The action went down on Saturday, the day that the former president delivered an epic speech in which he laid the Russian invasion of Ukraine at the feet of the “weak” Joe Biden as well as came closer to officially declaring that he would be running for the White House in 2024.

The My Pillow founder was enjoying the experience when he was accosted by Robert Costa, the network’s chief election and campaign correspondent as well as a longtime reporter for the virulently anti-Trump Washington Post, the antagonistic manner of the pesky newsman clearly struck a nerve with Lindell who shouted him down as a traitor.

“Robert Costa is a traitor to the United States,” hollered Lindell as he accused the reporter of regurgitating old news while the crowd around the two joined in to chant, “Traitor! Traitor! Traitor!”

The incident being yet another example of how the mainstream media has come to be distrusted if not outright despised by conservatives who have been demonized by the press as bigots, racists, Nazis and white supremacists while the same media that spent four years churning out lies about Trump run interference for Joe Biden.

Video that Costa posted to Twitter provided additional context of what took place prior to the verbal beatdown, when the reporter attempted engage in “gotcha” journalism by pressing Lindell in order to gain material that could be used to promote wild conspiracy theories on the so-called “insurrection” at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2001. An attempt that ultimately allows Costa to portray himself as the victim.

Costa’s other tweets on CPAC didn’t even bother to attempt to conceal his partisan bias, all but calling Trump a liar and claiming that Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene spoke at a “white nationalist” conference, an expansive definition that included pretty much any critic of the fully radicalized Democratic party.

Lindell’s pummeling of the propagandist drew raves from Twitter users.

Lindell’s outspokenness has put him solidly atop the left’s hit list and a pressure campaign to destroy him both personally and professionally by bullying stores to pull My Pillow products is as despicable as it is un-American but despite the efforts to bankrupt him, he has persevered and as was evident at CPAC, he isn’t a man who is going to back down in the face of their fascism.
