The host of the Drinkin’ Bros podcast, Dan Hollaway, appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Friday and proceeded to explain the importance of energy independence in connection to national security while blasting a “woke” Biden administration over it.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson kicked off the segment stating, “Of course as Russia was planning its invasion of Ukraine, the Biden administration wasn’t simply weak as Republicans were telling you, it was ridiculous and subversive. Its Pentagon was focused on something called ‘white rage.’ The Biden administration… the White House was concerned about maternity flight suits.”
He then played a clip from March 2021 where President Joe Biden addressed the issue of maternity flight suits and tailored body armor for women.
“So, the whole point of this was not to be inclusive but to degrade and humiliate the United States military. We’ve certainly done that, now we’re seeing the consequences of it. It’s all very sad. It’s reversible though,” Carlson posited.

He then introduced Hollaway who has appeared on Carlson’s show a number of times in the past.
“It does seem like they’ve made the United States weaker on purpose and certainly more ridiculous on purpose,” Carlson noted.
“Yeah, and unnecessarily so too. … Those of us who paid attention to foreign policy for the last… forever, know that energy independence is critical to any country’s national security interests, right?” Hollaway pointed out.
“And in the course of one year, we’ve gone from the number one producing oil company, or country rather, in the world and energy independent to buying 5 to 600,000 barrels a day from Russia. Now, what was the plan exactly there? To lure Russia into being nice by subjugating ourselves to the whims of their energy policies and their war policy? That doesn’t make any sense. Is that a plan at all? Is this the most feckless and incompetent administration of our lifetimes?” he asked.
“Thank you for saying that,” Carlson replied. “And I do think it’s that simple. And I’d love to hear the counter-argument, but energy independence is a critical one, one of the critical national security questions. So, like, how do the rest of us just not pay attention as this was happening?”
“Well, people have been talking about it for a while. There’s a video of Trump, you know, addressing NATO about it a couple of years ago that’s floating around now and he got lit up for it at the time but he was absolutely right and it’s not just the United States. Germany, over the past year, shut down three of their nuclear facilities and they plan on shutting down the other three… the last three they have left before the end of this year. And now the bulk of their energy comes from Russia. So, you know that’s the craziest thing I think I’ve ever heard in my life but it is the hallmark of what’s going on in the West right now,” Hollaway noted.
“It’s certainly the hallmark of the Biden administration. A series of feckless and incompetent moves on the domestic side and the foreign policy side while focusing on failed green energy policies and identity politics. And this administration is completely 100 percent captured by wokeness and now people are paying for it with their lives,” he grimly concluded.

“I think that’s right. And I think it’s self-harm. I think it’s masochism. Only a country that hates itself would behave this way. Most Americans don’t hate themselves. They apparently love this country,” Carlson said ending the segment on a positive note.
