A Democrat senator chose this week to ignore the reality of the Democrat-controlled House, Senate, and White House to blame Republicans for the inflationary woes facing the nation; and the reactions were exactly as you’d expect them to be.
Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) spoke to the press Tuesday to address the continued concerns of inflation flanked by several of her Democrat colleagues, including Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL).
INFLATION: At Tuesday's Senate Democratic press briefing, Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) said the GOP has failed to offer solutions to inflation, stating, "Republicans have done nothing to lower costs, they have proposed nothing to lower costs." pic.twitter.com/qBxAc7nBua

“Democrats deliver,” Stabenow proclaimed the headline of the past year to be before remarking on supply chain concerns that continue to face the nation. She also cited ripple effects from the COVID-19 shutdowns as an ongoing detriment to the economy before she turned her actual “laser-focus” toward blaming those across the aisle.
“Republicans have done nothing to lower costs,” Stabenow accused before making claims to the accomplishments that have led us to what she calls the strongest economy since 1984, leaving many to ask:

It wasn’t long before the flaws in Stabenow’s remarks were pointed out. For instance, one person indicated on Twitter how the legislation Stabenow was lauding actually led to the 40-year high inflation that is currently devastating the nation.
This is priceless. First you cause inflation by reckless spending and then you accuse the other party of not proposing anything to solve the problem, when they actually warned you this was going to happen.

The shameless nature of shifting the blame from themselves to the Republicans, who at this point are barely able to get their proposals brought to the floor for a vote, was not overlooked.

Still, others felt that words weren’t necessary to drive the point home.

Perhaps what’s worse than the obvious politicking that Stabenow is engaging in is the fact that there are some out there who genuinely believe her. Not that the Republicans could have any say contrary to the Democrats’ proposals, mind you. Rather, that their own plans will actually guide the economy out of the inflationary hole it’s in.
17 Nobel Prize winners in economics say the Build Back Better Agenda will ease longer-term inflationary pressures.
We can get this done.

Remember, Sen. Stabenow promised, “Democrats deliver.”
