Black Lives Matter has responded to increasing questions about its shady financial practices by lawyering up, hiring a high-powered Democrat attorney who has been linked to the infamous discredited “dirty dossier” that fueled the witch hunt against former President Donald J. Trump.
Marc Elias who was a top lawyer for Hillary Clinton’s doomed 2016 presidential campaign is now representing BLM, according to reports from multiple outlets citing recent filings from the embattled group in a sign that Democrats are becoming increasingly intertwined with the controversial group that became a powerful force during the summer of 2020 when violent mayhem erupted in cities after the death of George Floyd.
According to a New York Post report, “Newly released tax documents for Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation, Inc., reveal that Marc Elias, 53, came on board earlier this month.”
“On Feb. 11, Elias’ Washington-based election law firm filed 2020 tax documents for BLMGNF, which claim that the group received no donations or gave out any grants despite raking in more than $65 million that year,” the Post reported.
The Washington Examiner reported that, “Black Lives Matter filed a charitable organization registration statement earlier this month with the New Mexico attorney general’s office, listing addresses for BLM in Arizona and Oakland, California, but says BLM’s “other address” is “c/o [courtesy of] Elias Law Group” in Washington, D.C.”
Additionally, “BLM also filed an annual registration renewal fee report with the California attorney general this month, with the filing saying multiple times that one of its addresses was ‘c/o Elias Law Group.’ The filing also states BLM’s “books are in the care of … the organization” that is “located at … c/o Elias Law Group,” the outlet reported.
Also onboard with BLM, “Minyon Moore, a longtime top ally of both Bill and Hillary Clinton, is now listed as part of BLM’s board of directors in the charity’s filings,” according to the Examiner.
Elias, who has been implicated in providing funding for the dossier that was put together by former British spy Christopher Steele that included the salacious and discredited rumor of Trump, peeing prostitutes and Kremlin kompromat, comes on board at a key juncture for BLM as the national acclaim for its “social justice” crusading has waned considerably amidst scandals and resignations from top leaders, alleged financial chicanery and questions about who controls $60 million in donations.
The murky nature of BLM’s finances led to the group being booted off of Amazon’s charity platform AmazonSmile this week, another sign of the organization’s loss of credibility since 2020 when it received nearly unanimous sponsorship from corporations, the entertainment industry, and professional sports leagues as cities were ransacked by violent thugs that were emboldened by its in-your-face activism.

The news of Elias riding to BLM’s rescue comes at a time when news of his former boss’s role in the spying on Trump both before and after he was in the White House has exploded across the media thanks to a damning filing from special counsel John Durham, once again casting scrutiny on the Russiagate hoax that Steele’s dossier was an integral part of.
A de facto merger of BLM and the Clinton operation also coincides with Hillary’s re-entry into the political arena as she reportedly mulls a 2024 White House run to finally capture the presidency that she appears to believe that she is entitled to.
