Citing national security imperatives, U.S. Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Ks.), who is also a physician, has suggested that President Joe Biden take an annual cognitive test, with perhaps a possible legislative requirement to do so.

Marshall implied, in the clip embedded above, that this yearly mental health checkup could come into play if the GOP regains control of Congress in this year’s elections.

The president’s cerebral vigor came up at the end of a segment on the Fox News show, “Sunday Morning Futures” in which host Maria Bartiromo raised the issue.

“And it pains me to bring this up, by the way. But we are all watching President Biden. We’re all watching him, you know, shuffle, mince words. What do you see as a medical doctor? Is there anything you want to say in terms of perhaps considering a test once a year on mental capacity?

“What can you tell us as a medical doctor about the mental capacity of our commander in chief? Is this a national security issue?” Bartiromo asked.

“Well, Maria, unfortunately it is,” the senator replied. “And I think we’re all concerned for President Biden’s mental health. I think that if you compare today’s films from some of the films even a year ago, you’ve seen a deterioration in his mental capacity.”

“You know, maybe we need to be proactive, and ask once a year, much like we ask our president to get a physical, something from his doctor that he also takes some type of a mental test. And I think that may be something else that we’ll be working on, that Rand Paul and I’ll be discussing…seeing if we think that’s something that America deserves. I think we’re all very concerned about his health, and it is a national security issue,” Dr. Marshall, an OB/GYN, added.

Sen. Rand Paul is also an MD, with a specialization in ophthalmology.

U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Tex.), the former White House doctor, has repeatedly raised questions about Biden’s mental status.

The primary focus of the Bartiromo interview was how Marshall, if the GOP regains the gavel, and thus subpoena power, along with colleagues intends to investigate Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious diseases, in connection with alleged funding of gain-of-function research at the Wuhan, China, lab.

Marshall also opposes the Medicare vaccine mandate that could result in or exacerbate a nursing shortage and has called upon the Biden administration to end the COVID-19 emergency declaration “and give the power and control back Americans.”

During the Fox News segment, Bartiromo noted that multinational pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer expects to rake in $54 billion in COVID-19 related sales and claimed that drug companies are among the biggest donators to the Democrat Party.

According to CNBC, “Pfizer projects it will generate record-high revenue in 2022, saying…it expects to sell $32 billion of its Covid-19 shots and $22 billion of its antiviral coronavirus treatment pill Paxlovid this year.”
