Snoop Dogg is facing accusations of sexual assault and battery leading up to his Super Bowl LVI performance.

A lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles federal court on Thursday against the rapper and an associate, Donald Campbell, who goes by the name Bishop Don “Magic” Juan.

The accuser, who goes by Jane Doe in the filing obtained by Rolling Stone, claims the assault took place on the night of May 29, 2013 after Doe had attended a Snoop Dogg concert at Club Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, CA.

Doe, who asserts that she worked regularly for Snoop Dogg, described two separate instances following the concert. The first occurred after accepting a ride home from Campbell who she claims took them to his residence against her wishes. It was there that Doe said the sexual assault took place when Campbell allegedly forced Doe to perform oral sex.

After the sexual assault, the filing goes on to state that Campbell demanded Doe go to a recording studio with him to meet with Snoop Dogg. Campbell is said to have suggested Doe might be offered a role as “weather girl” for the TV series “Snoop Dogg’s Double G New Network” and that she only complied “in hopes of advancing her career.”

The filing alleges that the sexual assault from Snoop Dogg happened at the studio when the rapper entered the bathroom that Doe was using where he forced her to perform oral sex.

Doe claims in the court documents that she, “suffered anxiety, stress, depression, nightmares, sleep disturbances, post-traumatic stress, headaches, severe emotional distress, and physical ailments,” as a result of the sexual assaults.

Furthermore, she insists that the incidences led to additional lost income and that she had hesitated to come forward with the claims in the past because she was, “thinking about her job security if she displeased,” Snoop Dogg.

The filing goes on to state that Doe, “felt pressured by defendant Snoop Dogg due to his dominance, and his position of power over her, including his ability to hire and fire her and ensure that she would never be hired in his industry again.”

A spokesperson for the rapper responded to Rolling Stone over the claims disputing the assault charges and employment history.

Calling the accusations “meritless,” the spokesperson stated, “They appear to be part of a self-enrichment shakedown scheme by [Doe] to extort Snoop Dogg right before he performs during Sunday’s Super Bowl halftime show.”

“To be clear, [Snoop Dogg] has never had any sexual encounter whatsoever with [Doe],” the spokesperson went on before adding she, “was never employed by Snoop Dogg or any of his companies and has furnished no proof to support he claim of employment by Snoop Dogg and/or his companies.”

Doe obtained the right to sue from the Department of Fair Employment and Housing on Dec. 20, 2021 with an agreement to “attempt to resolve this dispute through a private mediation.”

That mediation was scheduled for Feb. 8, 2022 and was stated in the filing as “unsuccessful.” It further claims that after the attempt to resolve the dispute, Snoop Dogg posted what Doe’s lawyers called an “obviously threatening” post to Instagram.

This is not the first time Snoop Dogg has faced sexual assault charges. The rapper had been accused of sexually assaulting makeup artist Kylie Bell in 2003. Snoop Dogg countersued Bell for extortion and both suits were dropped after the matter had, “been resolved amicably.”
