**This post has been updated to reflect statements from the Biden administration that deny a proposal to supply crack pipes with federal funds.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson began his program Tuesday night ridiculing President Joe Biden over a report claiming his administration was to introduce a new proposal that would provide “crack pipes” for the less fortunate.

The plan from the Department of Health and Human Services has yet to be finalized but is said to target “underserved communities” by making drug paraphernalia available and creating “safe injection sites.”

The “Tucker Carlson Tonight” host reminded viewers that “on his first day in office more than a year ago, the new president explained that equity will require determination and creativity. This week he proved that is true.”

“Joe Biden’s latest idea is to pay black people to smoke more crack,” Carlson said. “Going forward, the administration will send at least $30 million in tax money to nonprofits and local governments so they can purchase safe smoking kits and supplies.'”

“According to HHS,” he mused, “these kits will contain Joe Biden approved pipes that allow beneficiaries of the equity agenda to smoke crack cocaine as well as crystal meth.”

“Some say it’s about time,” Carlson then deadpanned.

However, as the crack pipe report that originated from the Washington Free Beacon went viral, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra issued a statement denying that federal funds would be used to ‘directly or through subsequent reimbursement of grantees to put pipes in safe smoking kits.”

Carlson declared at the time that with the new program, Biden “will finally close the crack gap,” before going on about disparities: “For too long in America, quality crack pipes have been the domain of rich white men like so much else.”

Bringing up a picture of Biden’s son Hunter, Carlson described the scene, “Here is the president’s son, for example, smoking crack in bed at the Four Seasons. You will notice the beautifully designed custom crack pipe, its cooling bowl nestled in the high thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.”

“When Hunter Biden smokes crack, he does it in style,” he added.

Some are not so fortunate, Carlson pointed out, “Try to toast some rock in West Baltimore sometime, you may have to make the pipe yourself from tinfoil or a broken car antenna.”

“Our inner cities are pipe deserts…” he lamented before asserting, “Joe Biden is going to change that.”

Controversy over the report continues to rage with the left-leaning fact-checking site Snopes changing their findings from “mostly false” to “outdated” stating that a key detail about funding was not available amid the initial report:

Needless to day, Carlson wasn’t the only one furious over the allegation:

Popular commentators Diamond and Silk suggest this equity plan comes across as unbalanced with other administration proposals.

And radio host Glenn Beck pointed out that this is clearly a “return to normalcy.”
