Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Gen. Mark Milley, made famous for his rant last summer about so-called “white rage,” has reportedly been fear-mongering about Russia.
During closed-door House and Senate last Wednesday and Thursday, Milley warned that Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, “could fall within 72 hours if a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine takes place,” according to a report filed Saturday by Jacqui Heinrich of Fox News.
“Milley told lawmakers during closed-door briefings on Feb. 2 and 3 that a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine could result in the fall of Kyiv within 72-hours, and could come at a cost of 15,000 Ukrainian troop deaths and 4,000 Russian troop deaths,” the report reads.
“Several lawmakers” apparently bought his narrative hook, line and sinker, choosing to respond to Milley’s remarks by complaining that the Biden administration needs to provide Ukraine with more assistance.
Heinrich notes that they “expressed concern that the Biden administration did not respond quickly to provide Ukraine with significant military aid, such as anti-aircraft and rocket launcher systems that would defend against an invasion from Russia.”
However, unspecified Biden administration officials pushed back by bizarrely warning that supplying Ukraine with more than the $200 million in assistance already allocated could in itself somehow prompt Russia into invading.
Biden administration cabinet members present for the briefings included Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley,

Not mentioned by them was that Ukraine is already receiving significantly more — a combined $600 million — from several European nations, including the U.K.
Although the Biden admin has been delivering on $200M in security assistance allocated in Dec, Ukraine is heavily relying on $600M in assistance coming through the UK and Baltics, including older-version Stinger portable anti-aircraft missiles and anti-tank Javelin missiles.

Heinrich’s report provoked questions about the legitimacy of Milley’s warning, especially given his track record in Afghanistan.
Milley performed so poorly during the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan that at the time, nearly 90 retired generals and admirals called for his resignation.
So did the parents of U.S. Marine Kareem Nikoui, one of the Marines killed during the Aug. 26th airport bombing.
“I’d like to see General Milley resign. He should be held responsible for this. He’s the Joint Chiefs of Staff [chairman]…I don’t feel any of them have been held accountable, and the president, he hasn’t taken any accountability on it, either,” his father said on Fox News as recently as last month.

His father was especially frustrated by the Biden administration’s decision to abandon Bagram airbase — a decision that’s been attributed to Milley.
“President Biden claims that the military advised him to close Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan and instead use Kabul’s airport to evacuate Americans. They were the ones who said the Afghan army would hold, that the pullout would go smoothly,” according to a New York Post report from last August.
“If Biden is telling the truth, this disaster is on Milley’s watch. Or Biden is lying (the more likely scenario, based on what sources inside the administration are saying) and Milley failed to do his duty and push back against a commander-in-chief who is making deadly decisions. Either way, he is derelict in his duty — and must either take responsibility for what went wrong or tell Americans the truth about their president.”
With a track record like this, Milley’s ‘critics say there appears to be no reason to trust his judgment:
Lolol!
Mark Milley?
Isn’t this the guy who said that Afghanistan was in good hands and that there was no fear of the Taliban taking back control once the U.S. left?
Is it that Mark Milley?
The guy who reads “decolonization” and grievance literature?
That guy?!?
LMAO!

Milley and his ‘advice’? Same dude that handled Afghanistan, right? Left billions of dollars over there, managed to get US troops killed and abandoned Americans? Was this meeting held at Leavenworth? #GoodGrief

Milley was completely wrong about Afghanistan

Wouldn’t trust Milley with the count of Tic Tacs in a box.

All this comes as the Biden administration is facing criticism for spouting Alex Jones-like conspiracy theories about Russia committing some sort of “false-flag” operation to trigger a war with Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has tried to persuade the Biden administration into not panicking, but his efforts appear to be failing …
