Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) vowed during an interview on “The Truth with Lisa Boothe” podcast Thursday that if Republicans win in the 2022 midterms and he heads the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, an in-depth investigation will take apart Dr. Anthony Fauci’s records “piece-by-piece.”

Paul has tirelessly gone after President Joe Biden’s chief medical advisor and the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases over mask and vaccine mandates put in place using the pandemic as an excuse.

“If we win in November, if I’m chairman of a committee, if I have subpoena power, we’ll go after every one of [Fauci’s] records,” Paul promised on the podcast. “We’ll have an investigator go through this piece-by-piece because we don’t need this to happen again.”

Current ranking committee member Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) plans to retire next January, paving the way for Paul to take the helm as chairman on the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. It will also presage Republicans subpoenaing Fauci.

Paul told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Friday that the government’s “dirty little secret” on coronavirus mandates is that it’s all about “submission” and “collectivism.”

“You know, I think the dirty little secret is it’s always been more about submission. It’s always been more about collectivism. It’s been about growing government power over your lives because the science has been clear for a long time on masks for children. Sweden didn’t have their school kids wear masks at all. Not one child died,” the senator pointed out.

“The incidence of the disease and the teachers did not rise, with the kids not wearing masks. I mean, it’s sort of, you know, I worry about the future of America if the Europeans are leading us toward freedom. The Canadians are ahead of us in trying to unwind mandates. But yes, for goodness sakes, we’ve got to stop the ridiculous mandates on children that Dr. Emanuel, that you put forward saying that kids are dying from Omicron. The statistics are this and the science is this. The wild variant was a thousand times less deadly for kids than 80-year-olds, and it’s become progressively less dangerous to the Delta, to the Omicron,” he asserted.

“As far as whether you vaccinate your kids, that’s up to you. But there should be no mandate. And I think particularly for young males, the evidence is pretty strong now that the more vaccines you give young males, the higher their incidence of myocarditis. I personally, if you were asking me about your children, I would get them checked first to see if they’ve already had COVID. If a child has already had COVID, I don’t think they need any treatment,” Paul concluded.

Paul accused Fauci in January of “using his salary to attack scientists” who disagree with him.

“Dr. Fauci, the idea that a government official like yourself would claim unilaterally to represent science and that any criticism of you would be considered a criticism of science itself is quite dangerous,” he asserted during a congressional hearing.

Paul was referring in his argument to one of Fauci’s private emails on the subject.

“You are incorrect in almost everything you say,” Fauci snidely responded.

He would later tell Paul, “You keep distorting the truth. It is stunning.”

Despite Fauci’s protestations and smearing of Senator Paul, emails and piling evidence appear to support the claims against him.

Paul has relentlessly accused Fauci of funding gain of function research involving the Wuhan Institute of Virology, prior to the pandemic.
