Fox News released an explosive report hosted by Bret Baier that questions what Dr. Fauci, scientists, and federal health officials actually knew about the origins of COVID-19 and whether they hid evidence from the American public.
The special aired on Tuesday night during an episode of “Special Report with Bret Baier.” The Fox News host laid out the timeline of the virus and what occurred in the early days of the pandemic. Documents obtained by Fox News show that Fauci, who is the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, was given a heads up early on that the coronavirus may have originated in a lab in Wuhan, China, and that it was potentially manmade.
Fauci reportedly found out on January 27, 2020, that his organization had been indirectly funding the Chinese lab through EcoHealth, which is a US scientific company that works with novel coronaviruses.
Noted Scripps Lab virologist Dr. Kristian Andersen told Fauci on January 31 that he believed that some of the virus’ features appeared to be engineered and the “genome is inconsistent with expectations from evolutionary theory.”
Andersen called for a more in-depth examination of the origins of the virus and Fauci proceeded to rally his scientists on a conference call. He was informed that risky experiments may have not gone through proper biosafety review and oversight.

Fauci would go on to organize an emergency call with dozens of worldwide virologists. “Special Report” obtained notes from that meeting that show suspicions over the lab leak theory were actively suppressed due to concerns about the public having a negative reaction to possible involvement by the Chinese government.
National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins was fearful that “science and international harmony” might be damaged over China’s alleged involvement and that researchers might be derailed over it.

One scientist in the meeting openly dismissed the possibility that the virus jumped from a bat to a human which was being pushed as the cause of the pandemic. That individual pointed out that it looked much more plausible the virus was generated in a lab. Fauci asserted that the virus came from an animal market in Wuhan, not a lab. That market was shut down and sanitized by the Chinese, destroying any evidence that might be examined.
According to the Fox News report, Fauci and his scientists came to an agreement that the lab origins should not be mentioned in a paper because it would “fuel to the conspiracists.”
Four days later, five researchers all changed their original opinion that the virus originated from a lab and instead parroted Fauci that it went from a bat to a human. It is unknown why they all changed their minds in lockstep at the same time but, according to Fox News, Fauci and Collins received several drafts as revealed in private communications.
Fauci and Collins would go on to actively suppress the lab leak theory, looking for “something NIH can do to help put down this very destructive conspiracy.”
Fauci railed against the lab leak theory for months. “Special Report” learned that the two authors of the scientific report that Fauci presented backing his assertions were awarded millions in grants from NIAID.
President Biden ordered an investigation into the origins of the virus but it was inconclusive. China would not cooperate and appears to have blocked the investigation while allegedly destroying evidence.
When the lab origination theory gained traction in August, Collins told “Special Report” that while he could accept the possibility that the virus leaked from a lab, he did not agree with the idea that it was created by humans. He has now left NIH but still asserts that the virus originated in nature.
Congress wants to question Fauci further on gain-0f-function research and the possibility the virus came from the Wuhan lab.
He is now claiming that the Omicron variant might reach its peak by February. Fauci told ABC’s “This Week” that the recent wave is “going in the right direction.” However, he is also pushing a fourth booster shot.

From the beginning, Fauci has railed against the anti-vaccination movement, labeling it a threat to the nation and American lives. Now he says it may be an even bigger threat than first thought, basically insinuating that individuals who choose not to get the jab are dangerous.
“I do believe it has been an underestimation of the numbers of people who are taken in by the misinformation associated with the anti-vaccination movement,” Fauci told host Stephanie Ruhle on MSNBC, calling the movement “very disturbing.”
“It doesn’t feel good, but it’s just a fact of life of where we are in society right now with disinformation and misinformation tends to rule in many respects,” he asserted.
