In a thread that nobody saw coming, a former “Never Trump” Twitter user utterly annihilated a leftist suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome.
The annihilation started with former “Never Trumper” Amy Curtis mocking the left’s claim that “the adults are back in charge.”
She posted the mockery after a Twitchy writer drew attention to the way that the Biden administration is ostensibly standing up to Russia via hashtags.

Her mockery of this administration prompted a leftist named KimPlausible to post two replies seething with TDS.
“Hi Amy. How are you? Hope all is well. I remember in 2016 when you were clearly in the NeverTrump camp. ‘Curious what led you to accept a man you once called a liar, a prdophile, a con man, & person void of any moral compass?” the replies read.
“I really would like to know. Did you wake up one day & decide all the women who accused him of sexual assault were lying? That grabbing women by the pussy is the new cool. I’m curious what guided yoh to put Trump in charge of your childrens future?”
It’s not clear what Curtis’ original post had to do with former President Donald Trump. No matter, because Curtis was equipped to manhandle KimPlausible.
In an 8-part Twitter thread, she dropped some undeniable truths, including the fact that “Trump is not in charge of anything” at the moment, which was relevant given as her original tweet had been about current President Joe Biden.
She added that though she’d been a “Never Trumper,” she accepted the 2016 election results — unlike Democrats — and was pleased that the former president turned out to be “not as terrible as I feared.”
Many “Never Trumpers” wound up feeling the same way.

1) Trump is not in charge of anything. He lost the election. I do not want him to run again in 2024 or ever. He can go away.
2) I accepted the results of the 2016 election. From a purely governing standpoint, Trump was not as terrible as I feared.

Continuing her thread, Curtis wrote that sometimes “we have to hold our nose and vote for the less repulsive choice.”
“Biden, in character, is not a good man. He may be *worse* than Trump, as he’s a racist liar who’s done nothing good in his decades in office,” she added.
From the sounds of it, she voted for Trump in 2020. Perhaps this was what KimPlausible had been referencing in her tweets.
In fact, Curtis continued her thread by defending the former president and comparing his accomplishments to Biden’s failures.
“—–ing grabbing is never cool, but the accusations of sexual harassment get thrown around so much I don’t believe them without evidence. That’s the left’s fault. Also, Tara Reid and Biden’s questionable behavior with women and children, which is often *on video*,” she wrote.
“And, at the end of the day, I’ll take the orange asshole who had gas prices down and the shelves stocked and the economy working over the demented old racist who doesn’t know what time of day it is, who abandoned Americans in Afghanistan and now Ukraine.”

In her final tweet, Curtis dovetailed back to her original tweet and noted that her point still stands.
And that point, she wrote, is that leftists who think the Biden administration represents the “adults” in the room are clueless.

Curtis’ transformation from a “Never Trumper” to someone willing to fiercely defend the former president (within limits, mind you) seems to highlight just how successful the Trump administration had been — particularly in comparison to the current one.
That being said, like many other Republicans, it appears Curtis too is ready for something new come 2024.
