CNN host Don Lemon is suggesting that those who have thus far declined to take the COVID-19 jab should be drummed out of “polite society,” especially rule-breaking “idiots” who do their own research.

Lemon, or Luh-Mon, as Fox News host Tucker Carlson pronounces it, showed up for work early and appeared on the network’s “New Day” program to react to a Mexican news anchor’s seemingly unhinged rant against anti-vaxxers. The Lemon clip is embedded above and from which you can draw your own conclusions.

Lemon, whom ex-President Donald Trump memorably described as the dumbest man on television, conceded that the other anchor’s tirade, which he praised as representing “all of us,” could have occurred on his own nightly program.

“I’ve gotten criticized for saying that we need to stop listening to the people, and they should not be part of polite society, so to speak…he’s right,” Lemon asserted on the ratings-challenged channel.

The Biden apologist went on to blame the unvaccinated cohort for the spread of COVID variants even as it’s reported that a triple-vaxxed person can catch and transmit the infection.

“It’s because of unvaccinated people who are doing their own research online,” Lemon declared, citing CDC data that he presumably researched online. “I can’t do my own research better than experts who do have devoted their lives to medical and scientific research.”

He then made an analogy with the COVID vaccine and the science behind air travel and also compared the coronavirus shot to polio and smallpox inoculations.

“We have to start doing things for the greater good of society,” he continued, “and not for idiots who think that they can do their own research, or that they are above the law, and they can break the rules.”

Lemon, who a few months ago was allegedly spotted vacationing in Florida maskless despite denouncing Gov. Ron DeSantis’ opposition to mask mandates, seemed to approve of Australian authorities who kicked out unvaccinated tennis star Novak Djokovic.

“Australia said…’we’re gonna look at the greater good of everyone in our society, and you’re not part of that. We don’t care that you’re the number-one tennis player in the world.’ And good on them because they are keeping their population and their citizens – people who want to be good citizens – they’re keeping them healthy and safe and alive.

“And not for someone who thinks they can come in, do their own research, get COVID, spread it to other people, not wear masks…and then infect all of us and keep all of us in the house…,” he concluded.

Corporate media mouthpieces like Don Lemon often overlook the fact that many fair-minded Americans are pro-vaccine. They just draw the line at mandates.

Parenthetically, according to a new poll, 48 percent of Democrat voters said the government should be able to fine or imprison those who publicly question the COVID-19 vaccine’s efficacy,

Some media critics have alleged that what has been called vaccine idolatry may be the result of the significant amount of advertising that Big Pharma purchases on TV networks.

In the meantime, some experts and pundits have suggested that cloth masks might be ineffective against infection, which may be why the Biden administration is launching a free distribution of N95 facial coverings.

Liberal Lemon’s latest commentary that frowns on due diligence has prompted skepticism on social media. Here is just a sample of the tenor of the responses:
