CNN host Jake Tapper opened his show “The Lead” on Friday with a smirk and a poke at President Biden’s horrific week, listing the major challenges he’s facing and highlighting just how much he’s failing at his job as America and the globe are engulfed in crisis after crisis.

“Well, at least Joe Biden’s new puppy hasn’t bitten him yet – that we know of,” Tapper snarked, referring to the president’s new German Shephard, Commander. Biden’s other dog, Major, has a penchant for biting people in the White House.

“An awful week for the President,” Tapper said stating the obvious as Biden’s week went from bad to worse. Then he listed a crushing enumeration of issues that the Biden administration is now facing on all fronts.

“A bruising week for President Biden. Nearly a year into his presidency, he’s surrounded by dead ends and crises. The fate of his economic agenda is uncertain. His push for election reform appears to be withering on the vine. The U.S. Supreme Court swatted down his vaccine mandate for big businesses. The pandemic is continuing to rage. Inflation is soaring. North Korea is firing missiles eastward. Russian troops are poised to move westward as talks to de-escalate tension around Ukraine went nowhere fast,” Tapper noted.

The CNN host reported that U.S. Intelligence officials are contending that Russian operatives are looking to create a false flag event for Vladimir Putin to give the order for Russians to invade Ukraine. The development is unsurprising. Many feel Biden’s stance against Putin has been weak and indecisive at best.

The president is also facing the omicron viru surge. Tapper noted that two of the country’s largest pharmacy chains are shutting down some of their stores because so many of their employees are now out sick.

Adding insult to injury, Tapper referenced the disastrous Quinnipiac poll that showed Biden’s approval rating cratering to 33 percent. He then quipped that the president “desperately needs a reset as he embarks on his second year in office.”

On Thursday, Biden was dealt two crushing blows. The Supreme Court struck down his order that would have forced businesses with more than 100 employees to ensure they are vaccinated or be tested weekly under the oversight of OSHA. A mask mandate would have also been implemented.

Then Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) declared she will not support altering the filibuster. She refused to even utilize a temporary carveout to pass Biden’s voting rights agenda which would federalize elections in an attempt to keep Democrats in power indefinitely.

In her remarks, Sinema asserted that “while I continue to support these bills, I will not support separate actions that worsen the underlying disease of division infecting our country.”

She added, “There’s no need for me to restate my longstanding support for the 60-threshold to pass legislation. And there’s no need for me to restate its role protecting our country from wild reversals in federal policy.”

Sinema denounced “toxic political rhetoric” and claimed she remains “stubbornly optimistic because this is America.”
