Christian Broadcasting Network journalist David Brody was torched by leftists for a now-deleted tweet where he compared the support that the Black Lives Matter movement receives from the government versus the support stranded drivers received during a massive snowstorm.

“Today in DC. They knew a snowstorm was coming for days. Apparently ‘black lives matter’ but the lives of people driving in a snowstorm don’t,” Brody initially tweeted along with a picture showing a lot of snow and low visibility.

Brody clapped back at his critics with a follow-up tweet that read “Congratulations to those who have misunderstood my words. Not surprising on Twitter. I’m not talking about black people. I’m talking about the BLM movement and the support they get from the DC Government. Settle down trolls.” That tweet has also been deleted.

He went on to quote former President Trump in another tweet, which read “Everybody should drop off of Twitter and Facebook.”

The conservative journalist was one of the thousands of motorists who were stranded in Monday’s snowstorm in the massively unprepared Washington, DC metro area. He decided to vent his frustration at being stalled for hours on the interstate via Twitter.

Brody would later go on to apologize for the now-deleted tweet, writing, “Yesterday I sent out a rushed and poorly worded tweet that understandably offended many people. For that I sincerely and wholeheartedly apologize.”

Some of his detractors were offended that he mentioned Black Lives Matter. Others were confused by it. Almost all of them missed Brody’s point.

Brody has interviewed numerous presidents. He hosts his own show on Real America’s Voice and he is an analyst at the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN). The left simply could not wait to pounce on him.

Both political and media leftists, along with other individuals, tore into Brody for his comparison. They also accused him of being reckless and having no regard for safety because it appears he took the picture while driving.

“There are white people out there who just wake up with the Black Lives Matter movement on their minds and buckets at the side of their beds to catch their morning flow of white tears. They move through their days with BLM on the brain and are ready to lash out at the movement whenever an opportunity presents itself,” the online news website NewsOne wrote.

“Some of them start wilding out at restaurants whenever they see a BLM sign in the window or a family of patrons donning BLM shirts. Some of them are cops who get all whiny about BLM-related art oppressing their blue lives. Some get themselves locked up for stealing BLM banners from Black churches and burning them like they ran out of crosses. (I realize Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio is actually Afro-Cuban, but, come on, guys, if anyone is a defacto white man, it’s that guy.),” the outlet continued.

“Then there are white men like conservative journalist for the Christian Broadcasting Network David Brody, who didn’t even bother waiting for the subject of BLM to come up before he lashed out at the movement because *checks notes* he made the decision to drive in the snow Monday,” NewsOne mocked.

Here’s a taste of more hatred that was thrown Brody’s way for mentioning Black Lives Matter in conjunction with the snowstorm:
