Singer-songwriter John Ondrasik has released a new music video for his song titled “Blood on My Hands,” a scathing rebuke of the Biden regime’s calamitous and deadly surrender in Afghanistan during the summer of 2021.
Ondrasik, who also performs under the name Five for Fighting, filmed the video outside the White House. His performance is interspersed with news clips of President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken, among others, engaging in what is now understood to be at the very least, deadly miscalculation, and at the worst, willful incompetence amid falsehood after falsehood. Additionally, graphic footage from Afghanistan in the wake of the American withdrawal is also part of the hard-hitting message of the video.
Ondrasik, who wrote a Grammy-nominated anthem for the heroes of 9-11 called “Superman (It’s Not Easy),” insists the video is apolitical in nature, and that he only seeks to hold the Biden regime accountable.
“The passing of time will not ease the great shame festering in our collective gut,” the singer said in a statement.

“In fact, America turning the page on Afghanistan would only accelerate the erosion of our moral conscience. I take heart in bi-partisan measures currently being undertaken in Congress that recognize this truth. Until we admit our complicity and implement policy to atone for our actions, I believe that only then, will we begin to regain our stature as a nation,” he added.
During a recent interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow, Ondrasik said he took inspiration from the late Andrew Breitbart in composing his new song.
“[Andrew Breitbart] just kind of wanted to the right thing, and if he saw people kind of getting canceled or slammed — even back then — for doing the right thing, he would stand up to them, and it’s similar with this song,” he said.
“He’s a big part of this. He’s a big part of my inspiration to do this.”
The surrender in Afghanistan and the fact that an unknown number of American civilians and Afghan allies – both military and civilian – are still ostensibly trapped in the Taliban-controlled territory is something the administration and legacy media would like everyone to forget.
Among the many calls for resignations from Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Milley and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, the most newsworthy is the saga of ex-Marine Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, whose viral video calling for accountability from top military leadership resulted in his incarceration, court-martial and subsequent discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps.
Now a private citizen again, he announced his intentions to go on a media blitz beginning with a Jan. 4 interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
Ondrasik, for his part, said on his website:
“This music video is not a “yesteryear” documentary. Contrarily, it is call to action in the days, months, and years ahead to demand accountability where there has been none, to fiercely fight for Afghan women and children facing the greatest human rights setback of our generation, to support freedom of expression for artists in hiding, and to recognize and assist the heroic organizations rescuing American Citizens, SIV Holders, and Afghan allies still, to this day, abandoned to Taliban atrocity.”
Proceeds from the sale of “Blood On My Hands” will go to various organizations facilitating evacuations and rescues in Afghanistan, as well as to the Afghanistan National Institute of Music and the Gary Sinise Foundation.
