As noted Monday, an unhinged woman named Patricia Cornwall was reportedly arrested by the FBI and faces federal assault charges after she viciously attacked a man for not wearing a mask during a meal on a Delta flight, punching, scratching, and spitting on him while she, herself, remained unmasked.

The story gets even more bizarre, leading many to question her mindset before the assault. She is reportedly an ex-Raiders cheerleader, a former Playboy model, an ex-“Baywatch” actress, and a realtor who worked for Coldwell Banker and Berkshire Hathaway in California. Cornwall, 51, recently moved to Florida, according to Heavy.com.

The assault took place on a Delta flight last Thursday night from Tampa to Atlanta. When the plane landed, the “Delta Karen” was taken into custody.

It all began when she took offense to an 80-year-old man who took off his mask to eat and drink while he was in his seat. She approached the man with her mask hanging under her chin, demanding that he mask up. The elderly gentleman then let loose a tirade of expletives at the woman, calling her a “Karen” and she returned the foul-mouthed insults with her own.

As they verbally sparred, the encounter descended into physical violence. The woman not only allegedly assaulted the man repeatedly but injured at least one crew member and a number of passengers while being pulled off the unidentified man. It is unclear how the crew member and passengers were injured.

Video of the incident was taken by ATL Uncensored and shared on social media. The video has received over seven million views since it was posted on Friday.

“Put your f***ing mask on!” Cornwall ordered the elderly man while not wearing one herself.

“I’m eating, and I can do it with my mask off,” he informed her. “Do you want me to pour this over your head, G*dammit?” and gestured at something out of the camera’s view.

“Don’t you dare talk to me like that!” she yelled.

The elderly man refused to comply and the woman then ordered him to “stand your a** up!”

“Sit down Karen!” he yelled at her. Flight crew members then approached them and attempted to calm the situation.

Cornwall demanded that the attendants back her up, commanding them to “Tell him to mask up!”

A male flight crew member told Cornwall to put her mask on as and she told them to tell the man to wear his.

“You put your mask down, b**ch,” the man barked at her.

“Did you call me a b**ch?” she asked and then prepared to attack him.

He replied, “Yes I did.”

Cornwall then drew back her fist and hit the man in the face. She also scratched him.

“Now you’re going to jail!” the man asserted. “That’s assault.”

Eventually, a female flight attendant started to pull Cornwall away. That was when she spit on the man.

The “Delta Karen” continued to demand the man put his mask on as she was dragged away.

“I will put my mask up when you put your mask up!” she shouted before being escorted by the flight crew as well as other passengers to a holding area.

Cornwall was arrested when they landed at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport by Atlanta police.

The “Delta Karen” is scheduled to make an initial appearance at the Federal Courthouse in Atlanta on Monday, an FBI source told the Daily Mail. She has been released on a $20,000 bond.

Court records indicate she suffers from anxiety and may not have taken her meds prior to the flight. She was also arrested in November for a DUI and released on $1,000 bail. Currently, she is unemployed.

The attack is far from unique. The Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) reported 5,300 air rage attacks in 2021 alone. That compares with only several hundred in prior years, according to Morning Consult. Many of those had to do with face masks.

The incident follows Dr. Anthony Fauci telling travelers on Sunday removing masks on an airplane is “not something we should even be considering” due to the Omicron variant and surge in COVID cases.

“We want to make sure people keep their masks on. I think the idea of taking masks off, in my mind, is really not something we should even be considering,” Fauci said on ABC.

He also broached the possibility of a vaccine mandate for air travel as a further safety precaution.

“A vaccine requirement for a person getting on the plane is just another level of getting people to have a mechanism that would spur them to get vaccinated; namely, you can’t get on a plane unless you’re vaccinated, which is just another one of the ways of getting requirements, whatever that might be,” Fauci stated.

“So I mean, anything that could get people more vaccinated would be welcome. But with regard to the spread of virus in the country, I mean, I think if you look at wearing a mask and the filtration on planes, things are reasonably safe,” he contended.
