‘Now I’m being attacked’: Dad who told Biden ‘Let’s Go Brandon’ on live Santa tracker call says it was a ‘joke’

The father who said “Let’s Go Brandon” to President Joe Biden via phone on Christmas Eve is now being targeted by the “selfish spoiled little crybaby brats” on the raging left for complete and total cancellation.

The man, Jared Schmeck, wished the president “Merry Christmas” and then added “Let’s Go Brandon” after his children were done speaking with the president and first lady during NORAD’s annual Santa Tracker event.

The president obliviously replied, “Let’s go Brandon — I agree,” once again seemingly demonstrating how out of touch he is with virtually everything.

First lady Jill Biden meanwhile angrily looked to the side, presumably staring down the staffers who’d allowed Schmeck on the phone with them.

As the clip went viral, the simple three-word phrase uttered by Schmeck triggered apocalyptic level backlash, with the left-wing establishment press digging into him AND his wife’s life, and their left-wing activist allies seeking to get him fired from his job.

Even congressional Democrats got involved:

FYI, the president’s first wife and then-infant daughter Amy were killed in a car crash that occurred 49 years ago on Dec. 19th, 1972.

In a Christmas Day interview with The Oregonian, Schmeck said he’d meant the remarks as a “joke” and meant “no disrespect” to the president.

“At the end of the day, I have nothing against Mr. Biden, but I am frustrated because I think he can be doing a better job. I mean no disrespect to him,” he said.

He’s not the only frustrated American. Polling data tracked by RealClearPolitics shows that a 53 percent majority of Americans currently disapprove of the president, while only a 43 percent minority approve. Believe it or  not, but these numbers are actually an improvement for him.

Schmeck added that he’s not a right-wing “Trumper” but rather just a “free-thinking American and follower of Jesus Christ.”

“And now I am being attacked for utilizing my freedom of speech. I understand there is a vulgar meaning to ‘Lets go Brandon,’ but I’m not that simple minded, no matter how I feel about him,” he continued in his remarks to The Oregonian.

“He seems likes he’s a cordial guy. There’s no animosity or anything like that. It was merely just an innocent jest to also express my God-given right to express my frustrations in a joking manner…I love him just like I love any other brother or sister.”

But intent seems to not matter to members of the left. All they appear to see is a man who dared to stand up to a president who has promoted racial essentialism, demonized the unvaccinated and presided over an economy performing so poorly that his economic approval rating is reportedly lower than that of Jimmy Carter.

And for this crime against the regime, he deserves to be fired, leftists say:

The latter Twitter user, Josh Marshall, is a “journalist” famous for launching the left-wing “news” site Talking Points Memo. Go figure …

Meanwhile, Schmeck’s defenders are pushing back by highlighting the sanctimony and hypocrisy of virtually all of the man’s critics.

These are the same people, they note, who spent four years insulting former President Donald Trump, his wife and his children.

And not with phrases like “Let’s Go Brandon” — but with unadulterated profanity.

Look (*Language warning):

“I think it’s funny you Americans who shouted f–k Trump as often as possible, get so upset from people saying let’s go Brandon. Like do you not see your hypocrisy? Oh just don’t care because you’re all selfish spoiled little crybaby brats?” the latter defender wrote.

Selfish spoiled little crybaby brats? That does admittedly sound about right
